I know I can turn on global chat by using server.globalchat 1 in the console BUT when my server reboots it always turns it back to local chat only. I have used the command to save the cgf files but it doesn't save this command in it anywhere. It does however save my users and banid info.

Put it in the command line with a + on the front so it's passed as a server console command.

    +server.globalchat 1

Actually, I just double checked my command line (running through Streamline) and mine is specified like so:

hhhm maybe the GSP did it wrong. No matter!

If you use Rusty you could specify under the timed commands tab so it will do it at specified intervals, on player connect that sort of thing.

Not sure whether you are home hosting or with a GSP? If GSP you should be able to set a manual scheduled task in the server to run the command at specified intervals also - whatever works best for you.
