We are eager to get our new server up, we have successful decompiled the main paid hack most hackers on rust are using and we are going to create auto bans for no recoil ect...

Our dev team is going to detect every hack scenerio possible by server side monitoring.

Keep an eye out for the Avalon server.

Decompile was a success, we see the full code of their "secure paid hacks"

    Doom awaits yee hacking skum.

well you can detect what paid hacks do, you can't detect them by themselves like VAC or EAC can do.
but you can detect: speed hack, flyback, jump hack, blueprint unlockers, wall hacks, ceiling hacks, auto loots, long range bans, no recoil, etc
for a fairly poor detections of innocents.
only real problems that remained really are aimbots that play without all the other features (so with recoil, with close range kills, etc) that are near to impossible to detect.
same for ESP people that just use ESP to see where players are.

We are working on it, the game itself uses an ESP we can make a detection for people tapping into the game's built in unused ESP.

    Edited:

We are pretty sure we will be able to detect no recoil, but will keep you posted on that, since no recoil users are usually aimbotting.

    Edited:

@Reneb, correct, we can detect the use of hacks not the fact they are installed. If we cannot stop ESP, we will make an ESP jammer which will randomly generate fake responses.

    Edited:

So yeah either way, we will handle the use of ESP.

    Edited:

UPDATE: Actually he just informed me, he has a python hack utility he made a year ago, which can detect this hack server side.

If you've got the code to the hacks, why not send it to garry@playrust.com with [cheat] in the title so he can pass it on to the VAC team?

So essentially we would make our own anti hack for the server which cannot be bypassed because it is server side, is the direction he is going with this after some more investigating.

Only do this with the actual cheat. garry doesn't care about webpage links to where people can buy the hack.

Far too late now, this would have been nice a year ago when legacy still had a playerbase, once the new rust is smoothed out playablitity wise legacy will die off completely. Good luck anyways!

Garry doesnt give a shit about legacy. If this can detect esp i cant wait. Atleast 1/4th of best players in legacy use esp, but their reputation and hours keep them unbanned

    Edited:

Its not too late either a bunch of people are getting back into legacy. Theres twice as many populated servers as there were 2 weeks ago

Also if you want less biased feedback id post this on reddit because the people there have more independant thoughts and are far heavier supporters of legacy than the people on this forum.

Legacy is only popular currently because the new rust is so horribly unoptimized its unplayable for most, forcing players to either play a different game or jump on legacy. Litterly within 60 minutes of experimental being playable legacy will die off. Legacy is a hacker filled egotistic maniacal madhouse with atleast 90% of any "pros" using hacks. You think a new anti-hack system will save legacy? It will be the finisher of it hahahha!

This is comming from someone who hated this new Rust at first, and I have over 1k hours on legacy, after 1k hours, you start to realize almost everyone is using some sort of cheat to seem "pro" and who woulden't, I have many friends who hack on legacy and have been hacking since its release and are still not vac banned and have accumulated as many hours as I have, easisly slipping past detection of admins. Its a broken game and needs to die.

Go to reddit, there is overwhelming support for legacy and lots of those people feel like experimental will never be as good as legacy. Ive got 2k hours and still love it. Aimbotters and every other hack is easy to find out. Esp is only thing that slips by. Legacys pop is actually growing right now. Game is far from dead.

you can't make a VAC like on server side. You can inject in client some detections or anything ... as you can't check if they are pressing a button or not.
there is no bypass on server sided anti cheat, as there is nothing to bypass, the anti cheats on server sides deal with the "consequences" of the hacks, not the "cause" of the hacks. so on the server side you can check the difference between 2 positions in a certain time to get the speed of the user, but you can't get the speed set in the user client. same goes with the wall hack thing that's implemented in the client side, you can't detect if the player changed the "false" to "true" (to people that know what i'm talking about) to activate the ESP.

Pretty sure legacy still has a bigger player base than shitty ass new rust even with the rampant hacking.
