Hello,

I bought the game yesterday and I find it very fun. BUT I am getting disconnected every 20sec-1min on any official server. This is getting on my nerves! I get killed each time because it disconnects while hunting.
Can you guys please help me? or fix this issue? I know I'm not the only one having this issue, but if it doesn't get fixed in the next couple of days I'm requesting a refund!

What does the F1 console say, and how are you starting Rust?

Also, the game's in alpha. Don't buy Early Access games if you expect no technical problems. This is a common error.

I am having the same issue...and that "dont buy early access if you cant handle not playing" is such a load of horse sh*t. Yes you expect there to be issues with early access, thats fine. I have clos eto two hundred hours playing rust on legacy....and yet for the last month or so I get this exact same issue on the new branch. It is bogus. Instead of working on cosmetic crap, fix the issues that dont let people actually PLAY the game...you know, the game that has already gotten Facepunch tens of millions of dollars. I can handle issues like this short term, I can handle them longer term if the Devs actually ACKNOWLEDGE the issue and say they are working on it...but that has NOT been the case here. Whats the point of making the game look better if you cant f*cking play the thing?

Maybe give a bit more info when posting these. Answer the questions the people trying to find out whats going on are asking you:

What does the F1 console say, and how are you starting Rust?

Doing this should show you an error or exception message we can use to search on, its a valid question

Do you play fullscreen or windowed?

Also a valid question!

the F1 console one is probably the most important, the easiest way to fix problems like these is to check as it will tell you exactly why you disconnected, then there is a good change that error has been posted about and potentially resolved already here in the forums.

Also maybe post some info about your setup as well, what your a/v is and any software firewalls like BitDefender if you have one.

Elix didn't say don't buy early access if you cant handle not playing, he said this sort of shit is to be expected in early access, and it is a valid point. At one stage I couldn't run the new version for over a month until I could work out how to fix it. If you can post up the answers to the questions we will take a look and see if we can help you out.

lmnsr, does this still happen? Can you reproduce it reliably?
What operating system + antivirus/firewall are you using?
