The thing I notice a lot when looking at concepts for future clothing and makeshift craftables, is they all share a common appearance.

For example, look at the diving gear on the trello, or the rad clothes in game right now. They both look incredibly silly, but are the most practical and effective creation available to our otherwise naked and doomed characters. This tone of silly but needed is great for the feel of the game. If everything looked too serious it would be boring, and if everything was TOO silly, nobody would take anything serious enough. There's a neat little balance in all the designs of upcoming and implemented aesthetics that I think should and will continue.

I mean, we all know the rad boots are silly looking with the frog boot and such, but in the same situation do you really think you could find anything better?

Anyway, I like where you guys are going with this stuff, keep it up!

This is the place for guns in rust, which were in the legacy. I miss the good old handcannon (my personal favourite), which always needed 1-3 tries with the flint to shoot. I had very good times, forexample killing a pistol-handling 10 year old noob who was hiding behind my door, after telling me, that he is leaving. That was EXACTLY the moment, where I felt, like you say, silly, but highly effective, it was like "SHOOT ALREADY" when I got in front of him. I hope there wont be any hyper-super military weapons, or even pistols, except these and a bit more realistic-tf2-esque, crafted weapons. And also, the best of best loot could be some kind of m4, ak47, thomson 1918.

Yes! I remember the hand cannon well, even tho I didn't use it much. I used to think it was dumb to even have in the game since the m4 and bolt action were so much better, but now that the new version has all guns like that I actually miss that gun.
