I haven't played exp in months, but have been following the twitter updates. I remember back in Oct, Garry stated blue prints may be trade-able on Steam. Has there been any more info on this since Oct?

Also, I remember reading a comment from Garry that while they haven't completely ruled out radtowns, they were planning on having the towns constructed from player made buildings rather than prefab towns like in legacy. However, I now see concept art for an entire town on Trello, though I haven't heard any comments regarding the change of heart. Have I overlooked anything?

Just curious and hoping there's a time line for these items.

the massive collective freakout may have pushed blueprints/global blueprints well and truly to the back of the queue to let people cool down; you haven't missed anything, it's not been mentioned since (that i have seen).

as for the prefabs, there are 2 things happening. porting of the old rust map, and using that map's design as a guiding post for the procedural map generation so it doesn't end up quite as randomised.

the exact amount of randomisation i guess we will have to wait and see, but the aim is to "unsuck the map" as per the trello;) timelines won't happen, just keep checking back.

This was just added to trello 2 days ago. Doesnt seem to follow the theme fo 'ruined but also from the future'(which technically means its from the past) the way the other stuff does, so I presume we'll see a few more concept arts before they start modelling.


I think it would also be wise of them to make all these different buildings spawn separately and randomly, so that the towns aren't the same on every server. That way they can re-arrange the town per server and maybe one has more small buildings while another is mostly large steam towers that you see in the picture.
