Here's the barricade idea I had mentioned in an earlier thread. Simple wooden barricade to keep out intruders. Costs 100 wood, builds quickly, can only be placed on the inside of a door, and has to be left off when you leave. Helpful to keep out players early in the game while you make metal for the other locks.

I think this is an outstanding idea! Would love to see it implemented. It makes perfect sense for this type of game. If you're playing with a friend, one could stay behind, barricade the door and craft stuff / build while the other is on the hunt.

There were a couple of times I had just built a small shack, started a fire to cook, and was looking in my inventory when some guy just came through my door and killed me. After that I just found abandoned furnaces and made scrap metal for a lock before I even tried to build a house.

haha dunno mate maybe you were too busy checking out the 3D female model :)

So yeah it is a good concept, and would be good for a tier 1 beginner lock that only requires wood but no metal.

Nice! I'd like to see that implemented soon. The kind with removable bar would be cool because you could take the bar with you.

I think something like this would be better([picture below) or a same as the original left picture and have a handle on the front door as well, and is detachable, of course this may need duplicate handles made because it will end up being like the key system, and if you lose your door handle...
