so theres nothing to do but wait untill the files are available again? is there a more official post with information about this? i feel like im blind and overlooked it or theres a severe lack of information

Check the "Experimental server open for all" post, it shouldn't be too far down the list but probably about 15+ pages of it are by Linux users trying to nut out how to get a linux Rust box up but not having much luck.
