Post #1I cant see any servers (official , modded, community etc) when i try to play alpha, selecting the legacy option at the beginning seems to get me going with old version but i want to play the new.
When i hit F1 on server listing is says :
[Coherent UI] (Warning) PID: 4152 | 3124 06:44:50.611082
[4152:3124:ERROR:render_widget_host_view_win_cohere nt.cc(416)] Unable to get backing store!
GameConfig: couldn't connect to host
GameConfig: couldn't connect to host
GameConfig: couldn't connect to host
GameConfig: couldn't connect to host
Any help would be much appreciated thankyou!

I am just getting the "GameConfig: couldn't connect to host". Anyone got a fix?

Never seen this before. Doing a search on details in your OP got me to this:
GameConfig: Couldnt connect to host - reddit post, from that it seems that EAC *may* be involved but its hard to say without knowing more info or details of your setup.
Unable to get backing store! - Found this post relating to an issue with OSX, but that's about it..
As a start have you tried verifying your game files? Maybe try that if you havent already.
Also, do you have any software firewalls/security programs like Bitdefender? I see posts about EAC and software like this not getting along all the time in these forums. Might also be affecting you perhaps? (As above)
Otherwise if both those posts don't help you out at all maybe raise it in the bug reports so it gets looked at by Facepunch

It did! Bitdefender is a good program but damn does it get in the way of all my gaming.

So you fixed it then? I don't use software firewalls at all but assume that you should be able to forward all relevant applications (Rust, Steam and EAC) as well as any required ports (possibly, dunno) through the application.
