dammit, stop stealing peoples houses bro ;D

it is known, but i don't know if it needs to be fixed. it's done to prevent people from building directly onto another players house, rather than to prevent raiding:)

i mean u can stay out of the blocking zone and put building parts inside the blocking zone
for example ,i can put foundation next to player's house while im standing out of the blocking zone
then i can put floors and stairs to their roof

it need a fix that u can only build in a close distance , i can build a floor to other player house in like 30m + distance

Sure, it's a dick move. But I think it's interesting for the developers to see how people deal with this new build system. If demolishing bases is default behaviour for raiders, then it will probably be changed. Experimental is all about testing and adjusting, so I think it's a good thing that RanQe shows 'his' way.

A visualization of the building space would probably be a good idea.

Maybe the space should increase to encompass each new foundation.

What it needs to do is base the check on placement and not user location. Right now it merely disallows a player to place something in the radius if THEY are in the radius. What it should be checking is if the placed item is in the radius.

Well if the guy secured his cupboard in a stone encasing of some sort, Ranqe wouldn't have been able to demolish that way, its a cupboard function. Works as intended, should stay that way. It's the guys own fault for not making his place safe anyways.

The cupboard was obviously not designed to be bypassed like this. BUT... remember why this heinous little item was created in the first place: it was allegedly a temporary stopgap solution to griefing. It was allegedly NOT designed to be Magic Raid Defender 2000. You can grief someone's house using this method, but the house owner can use the cupboard function to demolish anything a griefer puts down. So... temporary stopgap mission accomplished.

The real problem isn't that you can build up to someone's house and raid them despite the presence of a cupboard. Let's try to remember that 2-3 weeks ago that was entirely normal and one of the primary focuses of the game. The real problem is that once you raid someone, you can authorize to the cupboard and spend 30 seconds setting their entire house to self-destruct while you pick through their loot.

That's what FP will need to decide going forward if the cupboard stays around for a while. Is that a desired emergent quality of the game... built-in garbage collection and reclamation?

That is obviously a bug and defeats the entire purpose of the tool cubboard so i wouuld assume they will fix that and im not worried about.

How ever what i think the bigger issue here is that window bars are completely worthless. You can destroy them in like 10 seconds. had someone break into my house and kill me before i could even realize what was happening lol. It was a house i had already stolen or else there would have been no windows to start with. But seriously window bars are complete shit right now.

Take a lesson from real life: Dangerous area? Don't put windows on the ground level! A window's just a latent door you can see through.
