    Hi,

Today I installed the dev version of Rust to have a quick look at the upcoming features.
Afterwards, I opted back out of the dev branch to the main version.
Rust updated and everything worked as normal.

Now I've just updated to the newest version.
Whenever I join a game, I CTD after a few seconds.
I get an EAC bug report with the following message:

    GameID: 12
    Windows Version: 6.1 (Build 7601)
    64Bit System: Yes
    64Bit Client: Yes
    ErrorCode: 7
ErrorMsg: Failed to initialize the game process. Error Code: 7 Exit Code: 0
    ServiceVersion: 0
UUID: **** (don't know what this is so I'll just leave this out :P
+ a list of my running processes.

I also get a seperate pop-up window with the following message:

"Rust Launcher Error: FatalError - Failed to initialize the game process. Error Code: 7 Exit Code: 0"

I tried verifying the cache, which gave no errors.
I completely reinstalled the game, with no results.
    I reinstalled EAC, no change.

If I start the game using RustClient.exe I can stay on the server for a bit before being kicked off for not having EAC activated (I suppose).

Does anybody have any ideas about what I could be doing wrong?

    Thanks!

    Edit:

Just found out I don't even have to join a server for this thing to happen.
It occurs when I'm sitting idle at the server browser as well.
And it always seems to happen at the same time (very short time after starting the game).

    Anyone?

This issue persists even after completely reinstalling Steam.

    Hi,

Could you post the output of your 'bcdedit' command? (http://puu.sh/d3Bhl/79c9fe2e5c.png)

This would seem like an issue with the kernel version, have you recently installed any tools that would do kernel-level modifications to the system? (e.g. disabling Patch Guard, kernel-mode debugging, other)
