I would like to see both building systems in the game. Might take some work but the old build system seemed pretty much done.. just needed some balance to it. but the cupboard would of help that out alot.

The old log cabin bases... with the New bases. would be pretty cool to have around and play around with in game.
not having to see the same types of bases all over the map looking at different texture of bases would be very nice to see and have.

and with the pie menu. have it so you can change what build you want. log cabin or the new system.

so pretty much all you have to do is balance the strength of the walls etc. and how long to tear them down. to balance the 2 builds.
not sure how to go about the log cabin doubling the walls and stuff. but that is always what made it kinda fun to play around with. maybe make it so you cant double the walls up to balance it out with the other build walls..

idk just a thought . having both of the building systems in the game. so if you like to build/ hammer. the old build is for you

I don't think having two build systems is possible, at least not without a lot of extra work and code to maintain.

I think with time you'll get used to whatever system facepunch chooses to use. There's really no point putting in two different ways to build. Like garry said, this isn't a building simulator, and we need to keep that in mind when suggesting changes.

I don't think hammering was ever the problem, there was just entirely too much of it.
