With the update not being pushed out yet, but soon, chat has become more than a boring ghost town. Admittedly, after playing on the dev server its become a lonesome thing. So i decided to setup a dedicated Teamspeak 3 server on my VDS, located in Texas.
Feel free to check it out, right now its supporting rooms for the official servers, and currently users can create temporary channels as well. If people need permanent rooms for their server or a community that can be discussed by contacting me privately.

I'm asking for no donations or funds for this venture, as my VDS currently already pays for itself as I do host other things on it.

You can connect to the TS3 Server via
    rustgame.ddns.net or 66.151.244.115

And I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum for such a thing to be posted, but i don't see any other place to post this. Please move this post if I am in fact posting in the wrong place. My apologies. I'm just trying to be helpful by offering a free service to the community which will soon become divided due to the recent ingame chat changes.

Rather people chose to use it or not is up to them. I'm just trying to offer a helpful solution for players to keep in touch, while playing the game while spread out across biomes. Sorry for ranting and being a bother! C:

I'm not horribly worried about the new chat setup. This is how it always should have been anyway... Besides, anybody I really want to talk to despite distance, I'll just catch on my own TS3 server.

That said, I think that a general Rust TS3 server would be pretty handy. Allow us the chance to mentor new players and discuss new events and changes. It should be a separate entity from the game itself, though, so I don't really have a beef with the idea of the new system -- this would just be a cool, redeeming quality of the community as far as I am concerned.

i really really dislike the removal of global chat. it was the last easy way friends could coordinate with each other easily, or find people to team up with. All they had to do was add some anti spamming measures. I think this is definitely a move in the wrong direction as it hurts the community feel of the game which is what has always drawn me to it in the first place.
