Same here with the respawn bug and stuck on the wake up screen.
I've seen alot of threads talking about this bug, as it is game breaking for anyone encountering it.. and the trend I've noticed is that every time someone posts their system specs they have an amd cpu. Do you have an AMD processor by chance as well?

As far as the Snapshots thing and not getting into the server, I was able to get in more than half the time yesterday. I noticed in one of the patch notes that they split snapshots into smaller segments which is probably why I was having better luck, seems to be an internet connection issue perhaps. However today I switched to the full experimental branch so that I got the latest updates and now I can't get into the server at all. The only difference is my internet isn't downloading anything at 1.5mb/s like the last times it would get stuck there, it's just pretty much doing nothing and won't go any further.
I keep reloading the game and retrying, now half the time I'm getting this error: Disconnected: Invalid Packet Error
