Check the vmt files (with notepad) to see if it's accidentally using an alpha for the teeth. If it was missing a texture or pointing to something that doesn't exist, your teeth would be purple checkerboards. Using an alpha incorrectly is the only reason I can think of aside from actually missing teeth.
