I think this is too much "technological", but you gave me an ideia, maybe we could get some of these organisms bioluminescence in the beach and put inside in pots to illuminate a minor area:

    Cool idea!

Looks too much like actual armor for me. I'll be wearing something more like the cardboard box or the potato sack.
Or leather made with human skin with the face still on it.

damned if i can remember where, but i'm sure i posted it:D i'm so going to be the random naked sitting fishing with no house just a sleeping bag and fireplace;)

my wish IS granted;D (pending development and all that)
i can just imagine some random by the lake fishing along comes a group of kevs *also sits down to fish* :3

    Edited:

Interesting. Although I find it bizarre that Garry is under the belief that having torches that can be placed on walls is instantly 'Minecrafty'. -.- Was not aware that Minecraft invented that concept.
how about metal brackets or braziers being a requirement like you must have a metal bracket on the wall lit torch in hand sit torch in bracket or for a brazier (i hope this is the right word for some reason bra's come to mind i mean the metal things people sit around in winter) drop 1 torch or many for different amounts of light and/or time (http://cdn.worldstores.co.uk/images/...ier_A_SS_1.jpg)

Fishing, farming, spears, slingshots.... these are all great ideas for a low-tech survival game with scarce resources and somewhat rudimentary firearms... where the main goal is survival and PVP is just that thing that occurs out of necessity. Rust is absolutely, positively not that game at the moment... experimental build or otherwise. I'm curious as to whether they actually plan to take it there, and all that's required to do so.

It's really just the farming that seems out of place to me. The pace seems somewhat wrong for the current state of Rust. In real life farming is such a long term endeavor it takes months of patients and investment before any reward could be reaped. In the meantime if I don't log on for 3 days my house rots away to nothing.

How would we protect our crops being dug out by other players? Don't get me wrong I do like the idea of farming it just seems like the current focus of rust is more short term than would be required to really make farming feel like it fits the current pace of game play.

You forget about winter, and meat that rots. Farming will be a saving grace.

The current pace of the game is artificially increased because the playable area is so small.

The truth is the game is changing.

Haha ok. Though I would prefer people wearing some sort of scrap metal armor that looks like they made themselves rather than professionally made kevlar. By that maybe just a preference.
