Hi all.

I got VAC Banned some days ago, because EAC used to crash while loading the game, making me unable to launch my game copy.

Since i didn't know of these forums before, i managed to solve it myself, using a bypass token from some sites (can't remember which one, just googled "Rust EAC Bypass")
I found one, and i was able to run the game for all the time I played (Almost two weeks i think).
Then i got VAC Banned.
Is there a way to get my money back since the game has online only and since i can't use a product i regularly bought, (without a broken rule, btw, since the only steam rule i could damage was "Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying Steam services, software or other content", and i did nothing about it, just bypassed your anticheat) got a problem with it, found a solution myself instead of making you move for me, managed to install it and finally played for a very few time?

That's absolutely unadmittable for me, why the hell should they put into database a file that doesn't absolutely damage other's game (Yes, steam vac works with a database), and that can damage only if applied with other files?

A bypass for anti-hacks doesn't mean you're hacking while in game, since as i know hacking in a game is synonymous of damaging others.

Important:
All VAC bans are permanent - Valve has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift VAC bans under any circumstances.

facepunch does not control valve anti cheat, posting a thread will not receive any results of any kind.

vac does not ban because of glitching in the game.

vac works by detecting active modifications to the game, while connected to a vac secure server.

there is no such thing as "instantly being banned out of the blue". vac bans in waves, if vac goes off, it will mark your account and ban later.

false positives exist however are extremely rare, and false bans will be lifted. they will naturally happen in bulk.

If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing on VAC-Secured servers in the future.

While server admins may choose to ban specific players, server admins cannot VAC ban players. The VAC system is automated - contacting Steam Support to report cheaters is not necessary, nor will Steam Support act on any information provided.

The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modification to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban. This includes modifications to a game's core executable files and dynamic link libraries.

You will not be banned by the VAC system unless you login to a VAC-secure server with a cheat installed on your computer. (and only when you're actually using it)

No, FP cannot unban you. VAC is proprietary software from VALVe, they are in control of that ban, and them alone.

I couldn't run the game without the bypass on, since EAC crashed every time and i had to find a way to exclude it from the process, and i'm just meaning, with "asking the steam support for a personal facepunch developer" referring to the time while i couldn't run it, cause you know, i asked to the support a way for this, but i'm pretty tired of the copypasta that they do.

Hmm so you got VAC banned 28 days ago and then your last activity on the hack forum was 4 weeks ago...

Perhaps a post to find out why your "undetectable" hacks got you VAC banned?
That seems like the most likely case. I have a strong feeling that the EAC bypass is just a dumb excuse, especially since EAC isn't even turned on yet.

even if hacks were stored there (they aren't btw) you could have just deleted them

Not at all, i didn't know hacks before playing Minecraft, and since minecraft is jar based i had to edit manually the folders, but i play Minecraft since three years, League of Legends since two (where there are no hacks) and S4 League, where there's an anticheat too, never cheated before Minecraft, except on singleplayer games with ye olde Simcity 4, The Sims, and various FPSes, RTSes, etcetera.

I have not a single hack for this game, especially cause i didn't want to get banned, and the bypass did get me banned anyway.

Delete evidence -> proceed to screenshot -> "What hacks?"

It's not as simple as a screenshot to prove your innocence. And we can't even unban you, so your best try is Steam support since facepunch doesn't control VAC.

Why are you still posting? What do you think you can prove with shoddy evidence and words? It's not going to get your ban reversed, why are you still trying?
