You're a respectable forum member, but I have to politely disagree with you. Game audio is in place because you're supposed to hear the sounds there, the devs put the audio in place so you could hear it, just as devs made night dark so it'd simulate real nights and be difficult to see. So turning up your volume to amplify the audio in game that was placed there for you to hear isn't an exploit. Using gamma tweaks to switch the darkness to light so that you can see in a lighting setting you weren't meant to see in... seems like a way to bypass dev placed game-mechanics in order to get the upper hand. Especially since you still can't hear audio outside the given range anyway, but with gamma you can see further than the intended distance.
