It will get your script in an infinite loop that can be kinda harmful on a computer running a Core I3 or lower. You should fix that fast.

Odd issue, but why did you add quotes anyway?
The simple answer I can think of is "don't add quotes"

All you have to do is close the site. Nothing life threatening.

Eh, it made Chrome act a bit wonky on my end, but nothing closing a few tabs and reopening couldn't fix.

My work PC is an intel NUC with an i3 and 8gb ram. This "exploit" doesn't do anything to my performance. It does not peg the CPU and it increases my browser memory usage by about 1k every 2 seconds.

How is 100% processor usage "kinda harmful" to a machine that isn't practically brand new as of 2014? Infinite loops have been happening on machines for decades, and while infinite loops block other things from getting done, they aren't typically harmful provided the machine is given adequate cooling.

Nothing happening on this end, and I am using a weak laptop. It just loops every few seconds.

@elixwhitetail, not everyone have a brand new computer, I got a laptop that is about 6 years old. I got 4GB of ram, and a core i3. My cooler is not that good, so yes, it can be harmful.

It is not because today we have skilled computers that we have to insult other ones.

closerto, not everyone has a toaster around too.If you have a laptop from 6 years ago, that laptop cannot have i3 on it,maybe Core 2 Duo,Centrino or equal.Other than that after market coolers are not hard to get,you can find cheap&efficient ones on the market too,for desktops.

As long as you are not running stress tests like prime95 all the time, your cpu can handle these kinds of loops even with I3 actually.

My CPU's a Pentium D 925. That's the last gasping days of the NetBurst microarchitecture, which predates Core 2. I built this machine from parts made in 2006. IT'S FUCKING FINE.

Clean your laptop's air vents with a can of compressed air if heat is an issue. If you have inadequate cooling, you're failing to maintain proper operating conditions to start with, so it's your fault.

To make it understood. Don't click the first link, click his second link with the " . The page will go into a infinite loop. At some point either your browser will crash, or you will run out of memory if one does not close the page, no matter what the specs.
