Post #1So, me and a friend broke into the house of which was apparently the admins's.
We stole a lot of stuff, and now he wants it back or we'll get banned.
Is this right, or was it his own fault of neglecting some safety features?

Seems like the admin is upset because he got trumped, but unfortunately, he pays for the server; his house, his rules, no matter how whimpykiddybabywhiner those rules are.

As an admin I've been raided multiple times...I kinda welcome it. People find out it was my house and it makes them feel even better lol.

If I were an admin sure I would be upset that I was raided an all, but I wouldn't ban anybody for it, it's apart of the game and is allowed to happen, there are no rules that say you aren't aloud to raid anybody right? Keep this child's stuff, don't give it back if he bans you, so be it, just keep all the good stuff on you so he can't get it back and lose it all.

I also kind of welcome it. Sure it sucks, but you'll get over it. I personally feel it's a good way to keep things going in the server. So many players love to call admin abuse and that he spawns stuff in, but then they raid me and see I have only a few weapons, two C4 and some building materials.

His fault (assuming raid was legit) and you shouldn't have to give the stuff back.
Although if the raid was carried out with something like pillar+barricade climbing then its a grey area.
But if he insists you give back his stuff then that probably isn't the kind of server you want to play on.

If he is going to ban you for this, get away from that server now. Only more admin abuse will follow.

As tasty said. Don't bother tossing his items back, id trash em. Not as if he won't spawn them back in shortly anyways.

Don't give the stuff back, if he bans you then it's not a server that you'd want to play on anyways.
If he doesn't ban you then you still might want to find a new server because threatening to ban a player for playing the game is just stupid.

This is just another case of a bad admin. If you play Rust, at one point or another, you will be raided....

haha that's lame! As an admin, i welcome raids. It's not like he can't spawn himself whatever he wants in the matter of a click of the mouse. It ruins the game when admin act crazy or want ultra power over their server (their way or the highway). If you get banned come jump another server and play. Maybe he's 12?

Yeah so many bunk admins. I've seen some fun ones. Guys who run around in nothing and give out food and cloth to new spawns. As well as do random server events like come take my base and other fun stuff. Then I've seen guys that spawn themselves 20 stacks of metal building materials. Make a giant metal fortress. Spawning in with full armor/guns/medkits every time they come in. Banning anyone that manages to kill them as a hacker

If I were an admin I'd open a reguee center. Big metal fort full of 1x1s for new players to get started in. After 2 days irl they gotta jet, make it on their own, but at least they'd be able to get started, stock up supplies, and then head out on their own. Anyone causing trouble gets killed and kicked out immediately, supplies are donated to other players in the building who play nice.
