I find it stupid how you have to first pay $20 for an alpha fine its a game games cost money but i want want to pay $20 - $50 a month to host a server and play with my friends and other random people so i have a few questions that i was hoping someone could answer

1. Why cant we make player hosted servers

2. will we ever be able to host a player hosted server

3. if we can host servers will we be able to mod them (with plugins and such)

4. why did the developers of rust decide to make the current servers hosted by server providers

Now i know people may not have any information to this but if you do please tell me i am starting to get bored of rust because i cant find any servers i want to play.

(also please tell me if you would like or wouldnt like player hosted servers and why)

3. They should run the same as all other servers so most likely yes
