(for whatever reason I couldn't get the poll to work whenever attempting to enable it that or im an idiot so just say yes or no in comments not that anyone cares)

outt of curiousity I want to get a ratio of how many players would mind if rust required players to download an anti cheat which in my opinion is really to this games benefit.

    What punk buster does.

It basically acts as a anti virus and looks for signatures matching known cheats on your computer vai scanning your computers files/memory etc. Meaning only players that made there own hacks are able to get away with it which is really a very very small fraction of those "hacking" the game. (basically 1 percent of them)

Personally I wouldn't mind having to download seeing how bad the problem is with this game your free to bring up counter arguments and correct me on any of this if im wrong.

    Have you used punkbuster much?

I got banned for my ram being brand new ~DDR3~
    Another time,
got kicked from plenty of matches back in the cod4 days. Not banned, Just kicked. Its honestly the worst one out there, and never even finds half the cheats. And by the way, VAC works so much better since it actually finds if something is fucking with your game, and not if you have some shitty app open. Believe me, the amount of false positives, Christ.

Used to play a lot of skirmishes in CoD4 and even some of the Clan v Clan competitive matches.

PB was absolute garbage, and it still is.

Punkbuster used to ban you if it detected code for cheats in memory, regardless of what the context was. Including if it was in the message buffer in an IRC channel.

You could get people PB-banned just by pasting shit into IRC channels they were idling in.

    Punkbuster has detected itself.

Granted its community speculation, but you know how APB: Reloaded supposedly is 95% cheaters? APB: Reloaded uses Punkbuster.

A blind Sheep running across a keyboard is more reliable at banning people than PB.

If any anti-cheat is this inconvenient for the people who are playing legitimately, you're just giving more of an incentive for people to crack the game and remove it.
