this...nothing major tbh... kinda upset, many people I know create amazing new items, none have been accepted so far.

No, they we just placeholders for resources before in the pre-alpha.

eg. Crafting an M4 or MP5 (or any gun) required X of weapon part 3, X of weapon part 5, and so on.

I forget the ratios, but you could combine (10?) of weapon part 1 to make a weapon part 2, and combine a bunch of weapon part twos into a weapon part 3. They also dropped from zombies at the time, and the higher the # of the weapon part, the rarer it was.
