You were VAC banned by steam.

This means that you are a cheater. The ban will not be lifted (Steam has a very strict policy) and you will not get your money back.

If you want to play the game again you will have to get a new steam account and buy Rust again. (But this time, don't cheat)

VAC will not disclose the nature of your ban, apart from it being for use of a cheat/hack, nor are they required to disclose the details of your cheat/hack ban. When VAC bans someone, it's because they cheated.

Your question was answered though, you cannot access THE RUST because you more than likely cheated, the ban is permanent and you will not be reimbursed, if you wish to still play, make a new account and buy the game again. If you feel you were wrongly banned, bring it to the Steam/Vac support and they will be the one able to assist you.

    Here's the Steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198068010377

Yup, that's a fresh VAC ban.

    Read this: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...7849-Radz-6869

You've also got an account on Webcheats.com.br, so you're not unfamiliar with the concept.

The only people you can contact for help for a VAC ban is Steam Support. That's it. Go open up a ticket with them. Nobody on Facepunch can do anything about VAC bans. Steam Support will not tell you what cheats you were detected using or when they were detected, however. They never do.

    this must be you obviously

    http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198068010377

    Important:
    All VAC bans are permanent
    - Valve has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift VAC bans under any circumstances.

facepunch does not control valve anti cheat, posting a thread will not recieve any results of any kind.

vac does not ban because of glitching in the game.

vac works by detecting active modifications to the game, while connected to a vac secure server.

there is no such thing as "instantly being banned out of the blue". vac bans in waves, if vac goes off, it will mark your account and ban later.

false positives exist however are extremely rare, and false bans will be lifted. they will naturally happen in bulk.
If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing on VAC-Secured servers in the future.

While server admins may choose to ban specific players, server admins cannot VAC ban players. The VAC system is automated - contacting Steam Support to report cheaters is not necessary, nor will Steam Support act on any information provided.

The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modification to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban. This includes modifications to a game's core executable files and dynamic link libraries.

You will not be banned by the VAC system unless you login to a VAC-secure server with a cheat installed on your computer. (and only when you're actually using it)

Second one is a tibia bot. It's because he's brazilian that you cant find links from him downloading hacks. Most of the sites ends with .br.

    He's here : http://www.webcheats.com.br/forum/members/1393604.html

And many other sites looking for various types of hacks. It's kinda sad that he linked his twitter and his facebook to his account registered on a hacking site.

PS: You need to register in order to see his profile.

    Hello,

Today when I opened the game I received the following message:

    Facepunch_Connector_VAC_Banned

During the years he was testing the game received these message:
    Kicked_because_of_violation

    I'm playing in Brazil.

Why can not I access the Rust?

Case can no longer access the game, I want to be reimbursed for the amount paid in the game (R$35 - BRL), because I'm not satisfied.

    Thank you for your attention.
If you were VAC banned then you're wasting your time telling your tale of woe here. Steam support are the only people that can help you and bullshit excuses don't work on them. You'll just get the same copy-pasted response that everyone who is VAC banned gets.

It doesn't matter if that is you or not. Facepunch has no authority over VAC and cannot unban you. You have to contact Steam Support. You can continue a futile attempt to plead innocence, all it will result in is more people belittling you. People come here on a regular basis claiming VAC unfairly banned them. Despite so many claims, there has NEVER been a case where someone successfully got a Rust VAC ban revoked.

Who cares whether or not you get your refund or unban, point is you cheated, and Valve will not tell you it doesn't matter whether you are a developer of something, cheaters can be anyone. It doesn't matter whether there is proof or not, point is until you get unbanned you are a cheater, regardless of what you tell us.

You guys are unnecessarily (see: hatefully) harsh—to an extent that makes you seem completely unreasonable.

Assuming he cheated because he got banned is like assuming guilt until otherwise proven innocent. It's a bad policy. At least try to help the guy out (or, at least, not look so bigoted when turning him away).

People have told him/her what do do: contact Steam Support as Facepunch cannot reverse a VAC ban. The reason people are "harsh" is because HUNDREDS of people before him had gotten a VAC ban and came here claiming innocence. Every single one of them claimed VAC had banned them by mistake, yet not a single person has come back with proof that they were telling the truth and thus were unbanned. Its not so much blind faith in VAC, its the fact of the matter that Valve is a pretty decent company and when they make a mistake they try to make amends after admitting wrong. Given how outright violent some of these "victims" were that Facepunch couldn't reverse the ban, I'm pretty sure if any of them had gotten Valve to reverse their ban that they'd be here rubbing it in our faces non stop.

I think making such a particularly specific assumption about what someone might do if they got their VAC ban revoked to justify the other assumption that their ban was justified to justify pretty insulting behavior whenever the subject of someone potentially being a hacker comes about isn't... a good practice.

What are the odds that two completely different people with the name Oxythg would have fresh VAC bans and own and played Rust today?

Whoever owns that profile took it private, which strongly indicates it's OP, since why else would it go from visible (when I looked at it) to private after I linked it? You're going to have to take my word for it, but that Steam profile I linked owns Rust and played it today, and there's a fresh new ban on the account.

And what is OP complaining about? Suddenly being VAC banned.

Are you really going to tell me that two unlucky fuckers in Brazil with the exact same name have been VAC banned on the same day in Rust, and one of them is a mistaken ban? Are you willing to bet real money on those odds?

If you stop posting that you need help and you want to get unbanned and start reading the posts you'll understand that NOONE here can help you and you MUST contact VALVE.

This is the part you are NOT understanding.

PS: Dont forget there are other brazilians (like me and you here ) and we can understand your posts on the br hacking site and the br community. We know you cheated, we know you downloaded rust hacks and we know why you got banned. I dont know what kind of help you want but again NOONE here can help you. Contact valve for that.

The ONLY way to get vac banned is by using a hack or a blacklisted tool.I'm not sure if you are understanding this because you are clearly using a google translator.

If they do unban you please tell us. That would be a first for the Rust Community. The "review" message you recieved was probably an automated message for customer service purposes. There is 99% certainty that you will not be unbanned.

Yes, but it is a stretch to 100% accuse him of being a CS1.6 wallhacker when there's no evidence of him ever putting =-'s in his nickname or putting [BR] in square brackets at the end. While it's kind of likely that it is him with a pirated copy of CS1.6 or an old Steam account he doesn't want us to find, we can't prove that it is him with the evidence available.

Besides, he has Brazilian cheating forum accounts, and he's already been VAC banned this weekend; we don't need any more evidence, so there's no point in bringing up shaky evidence. He's a cheater. He got caught. He came crying to us so he doesn't have to buy Rust again on a new Steam account. I've seen it hundreds of times before, and it always ends the same way.

    Apparently, I'm also racist.

oxythg, I want you to understand that "unlucky fucker" is not so much of an insult as it is a very casual way to refer to someone who is unfortunate. I could have said "unlucky person" if I was posting in a more formal place. It is not meant as an insult to you. It is English slang used up here, and I'm not being mean to you by saying it. I could use nicer words, yes, but I am not actually trying to make you feel bad.

Even though I'm convinced you're a cheater, that post was not meant to hurt your feelings. It was instead talking about the facts I used to decide that the Steam account I found had to be yours.
