So I have the ghosting bug and i wan't to know will i get banned if I unknowingly go ghost-mode and kill someone? a cheatpunch/vac ban? Since basically i would be shooting from maybe from out of range/through a wall.

No, VAC and Cheatpunch would never ban for bugs/exploits.
Just if you use any kind mods (and for sure cheats) you will probably get banned.

I was ghosting once and killed a guy and had no idea I was ghosting. I thought it was kind of odd that he just sat there looking in my direction with out shooting back.

There were a couple other people there so I told my friend to come loot this guy (cause he was naked and had nothing) as I was covering him. I looked down and said im up here (from the hill) and he said where. I was like OMG right in front of you look up here... "where" "OMFG your blind WTF RIGHT HERE"

Then I realized I was ghosting and relogged.

I am up and down from my computer a lot at times but I will keep rust up in the background with my volume on hiding in my house so I can hear if we are being raided. I notice the times that I am AFK for like 30 plus minutes and then come back are those that most often make me into ghosting. A simple relog will fix it and you wont get banned but its not fucking cool man. REAL competitive gamers want the challenge of fighting other people I am guessing you are not a REAL gamer if you are looking into ghosting.

But there is no way to determine from any cheat client VAC, cheatpunch or other if you are ghosting or not seeing as its a bug in the game and not an injector or file manipulation but as stated already doing so and knowing your doing it REALLY makes you scum of the gaming community and only a player that was bad and did not like the challenge of competitive gaming would do something like that. Why play a PvP style competitive game if you do not want a challenge?

You won't be VAC banned or cheatpunched, because those detect modifying the game and stuff. Ghosting is like lagging or a glitch or something, so you'll only get banned by admins if they think your H@XXING.

It's so great that they made a new sky first priority. Because desyncing isn't common at all and surely doesn't affect our ability to play when it happens all the f***ing time and I have to run around with six stacks of torches because the counter stopping is my only indication I've desynced.

When I ghost because of the mic-bug, I can't really interact with anything else.
I can't pickup stuff, open doors or use anything, it feels like everything I do is clientside only. The only thing you can do is walking around without a physical body. I doubt you can kill anyone while ghosting.

unless you have a "lag switch" program running that makes you ghost, you are fine.

The ghost bug can be triggerd just by pressing my mic (v) button in some cases, and as long there is no external program involved in manipulating the game files, you can't be banned for that by cheatpunch/vac. The only one who can ban you are the admins of custom servers for any reason only on their own servers.

You can absolutely kill while desynced. I've done it. Also, you can interact only with the environment directly around where the desync began (which is technically where your body is). You can even farm wood from trees anywhere you go while ghosted which I find odd.

You won't get vac banned... but you might get banned from community servers while desyncing. I have bc some guy thought I was teleporting
