I was VAC banned last week yet I have no clue as to why. I have written an email to steam about the issue and got a response saying they will not disclose any information about my ban and that the ban is permanent and they will not respond to any more emails about the issue. I have also written 2 emails to facepunch support and have yet to get a reply back and it has been over 72 hours for each email. My friends and I don't know exactly why I was banned but we have come up with 1 idea. The door glitch in which where if doors were opened too quickly or your ran into it while opening the door it would glitch out and kick you out of the server. I have read blogs on this violation getting people banned after just a few times. For the week and a half that I ended up getting to play the game that seemed to happen to me multiple times on an hourly basis. I do not believe it is right to 1. Ban someone permanently from a game that is in alpha testing and not even fully released yet or, 2. Ban someone from an alpha due to a glitch in the game its self that is registered as some sort of exploit or hack when it is not the case for every situation. I would like to request to be unbanned from the game so I can play with my friends again but at the very least I would like a refund of my $20 seeing as I only was able to play the game for not even 2 weeks.

nah that's not why you got banned

you got banned because you used a program which modified game files in some way

    don't cheat tia

    Important:
    All VAC bans are permanent
    - Valve has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift VAC bans under any circumstances.

facepunch does not control valve anti cheat, posting a thread will not recieve any results of any kind.

vac does not ban because of glitching in the game.

vac works by detecting active modifications to the game, while connected to a vac secure server.

there is no such thing as "instantly being banned out of the blue". vac bans in waves, if vac goes off, it will mark your account and ban later.

false positives exist however are extremely rare, and false bans will be lifted. they will naturally happen in bulk.
If a user connects to a VAC-Secured server from a computer with identifiable cheats installed, the VAC system will ban the user from playing on VAC-Secured servers in the future.

While server admins may choose to ban specific players, server admins cannot VAC ban players. The VAC system is automated - contacting Steam Support to report cheaters is not necessary, nor will Steam Support act on any information provided.

The VAC system reliably detects cheats using their cheat signatures. Any third-party modification to a game designed to give one player an advantage over another is classified as a cheat or hack and will trigger a VAC ban. This includes modifications to a game's core executable files and dynamic link libraries.

You will not be banned by the VAC system unless you login to a VAC-secure server with a cheat installed on your computer. (and only when you're actually using it)

    Player Name: DargyDoof
    Ban Type: Perma Ban
    Reason: Hacking/cheating
Server: Metro | No Explosives |
Ban Explanation: Player was 14X-15 at time of ban, next highest amount of kills was 8X-2X. This is a great feat upon looking at your stat history I noticed all of the wrong things on the graphed trend lines. an image of that is above. If you notice your SPM is on the rise (normal for a new player) while your HPK is on the fall (normal again) buuut when you pair this up with a skill that JUST broke 1000 and is still rising, with player reports, TONS of people saying you were one shotting several people with an RPK at nearly the same time if not the same time. It leads us to believe you are using software assistance.

If you dispute this ban I will need to see you break 140 kills or better with a 10KDR or better in order to get my recommendation to have the ban lifted. Video MUST be 3rd person over shoulder of you, screen, keyboard, and mouse inside of a screen capture from "joining server" on battlelog.

one thing i hope you realise is that 2 people can have the same gamer tag in different games, i dont own any of the battlefield games or even any orgin games.

    Edited:

so i do not see what someone getting banned in battlefield 3 has anything to do with my post on rust.

You never received an answer from Facepunch support because Facepunch has no authority over VAC and therefore cannot unban you. Valve doesn't disclose why VAC got triggered in an attempt to hinder coders from tweaking "hacks" from being undetectable.

Only thing you can do is remove anything that seems suspicious, make a secondary Steam account and rebuy Rust. It seems like a hassle, but its the only way.

again this post is about rust and not any other game. i dont see why you keep linking someone hacking in battlefield 3. and i believe my ban is false and that is why i am trying to have it lifted. and if you look on steam alone I'm not even the only dargydoof on there. If you google dargydoof you can even find a few other games with people that share the same gamer tag.

I have a brand new computer that is about a month old that no kind of exploit programs on it. why would i risk buying the game again on a different steam account to just get banned again without any explination.

Above and beyond that "go on the Facepunch Forum and claim a VAC error/false ban" was what people were told to do by their ever so trustworthy "hack" dealer, I also believe the ideology is that people think that because the game is from Facepunch that they can convince Valve to reverse bans.

you still must believe we give a shit

and the other DargyDoof doesn't even own or play FPS games so I really doubt its him

and kind of too much of a coincidence that you are banned like this "Other" one was from battlefield

or perhaps it is a sign

OP, you can argue all you want. You can claim whatever. Bottom line is that Facepunch has ZERO Authority over VAC. Valve already said they are not going to un ban you. Just cut your losses, save yourself from further humiliation and just move on.

Comes to Facepunch, "I didn't do anything, I want proof from the people who aren't even in control of VAC NOW!!!"

Seriously dude, we aren't able to say why Valve banned you either, point is, if they said nothing, you cheated fair and square, otherwise your ban would have been lifted from the time Valve responded to you.

I've gotten kicked multiple times on a server from a glitch in a building that made me fall through the floor, every time I rejoined to try and save my loot it kicked me again - must have tried to rejoin 10 times before someone finally killed me. I didn't get VAC banned from that, so its doubtful that a door got you VAC banned.

Let's play Six Degrees of Dargydoof.

    Here's your Steam Profile:
    http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198056862685

It says you're from California. Your avatar is a Stormtrooper.

There's someone on a popular fish-themed dating site with the same name, who is from California (just like you), sports an Imperial tattoo on their back (another Star Wars fan! but isn't everyone?), is former military and lists their interests as "Most fps games." I think we can assume that this Dargydoof probably plays military themed FPS games.

And this "other" Dargydoof who is totally not you was banned from Battlefield, a military themed FPS.

The very same Dargydoof also has a picture of himself smiling with a trendy Anonymous sign/logo behind him. What's one of the big things "Anonymous" is known for? Hacking perhaps?

But those are all just coincidences right?

Btw, thanks for serving! Also, enjoy your VAC ban! ;)

FYI, door glitches don't get you VAC banned. Come up with a better excuse next time. Also, try asking for your money back from whatever site you got your hacks from. You won't but it will be good for a laugh. If you just blindly downloaded some free hacks for Rust, then slap yourself. Don't you remember your annual Information Assurance training in the Army? You should know better than downloading and installing unsigned software from potentially malicious websites. I'll have your negative counseling ready for you tomorrow morning, Soldier.

Lol i love these banned guys, coming here and asking for help from Facepunch about VAC.The problem is they have the intelligence and they know, they gonna caught and probably lose their game or account because of cheating.Yet,they decide to come over here and says "No,that was not me,it was a door glitch,it was ma pa's axe,it was an overlay and so on"

Dargydoof:You will not receive any refund !
Your Vac ban cannot be lifted via Facepunch.(JinX telling this all the time, yet it seems some people ignoring that )

And finally these are your words "I do not believe it is right to 1. Ban someone permanently from a game that is in alpha testing and not even fully released yet"

Then why the hell are you hacking an Alpha game which is not released and telling everyone that you do not deserve the ban.
