He knew how to escape the legitimate way. He just felt like it was "unfair" to be trapped with all his items.

Which in itself is pretty dumb, as he legitimately fell for a trap.

I'm surprised no one has brought up the poor judgement that forgot to 'look before you leap'.

Is Salem dead yet? I laughed when "the big new skills update" was some facebook game style limit on how much you can learn rather then overhauling the current system of walking around and picking up stones for hours.

    let me get this straight...

1.) Someone Builds a legit Well within game standards and limits base with a trap..
2.) This guy FALLS into this trap because he didn't look first and was probably trying to raid or get inside.
3.) Now he's stuck and doesn't know a suicide command (or to toss his shit on the ground)
4.) BECAUSE of 1,2,3 he THEN decides to go out to the web.. download a hack.. install it and get out..

    WOW... just WOW...

Rust shouldn't have trap rooms that prevents players from ever escaping without carrying necessary items OR give the player and easy suicide command.
So let me get this straight. You couldn't figure out the suicide command so instead of Googling what that might be, you Googled a hack site. Your story doesn't even make sense kid. It's illogical and seems made up after the fact. No one believes that you even looked for a suicide command because you didn't even consider it an option. You didn't wanna lose your loot so you cheated! Fair and simple. It wasn't because you didn't know the effing suicide command. Get real. If you truly did not know it and googled a hack before googling a suicide command then you're just a cheater and no one should care a lick about your imagined plight. Asshat. Yeah gee OP, I feel so bad for you. You were outsmarted and outplayed so instead of taking the honorable way out or calling a friend for help you decided to cheat and save the day!!! Woot! Then you expect us to feel sorry for you, when countless times we have been in the same position or similar and lost everything? Yeah we feel you OP. We feel your ass with our feet while we kick it the hell out of here.

Nothing to see here, just a terrible player trying to justify using cheats.

Blame whatever you like. You're the bain of truly good players. You claim that the game is too hard on people which isn't so. You're just terrible at the game and can't handle it.
You're weak and deserve to be ridiculed publicly.

I get that Valve wants to curb cheaters and hackers via their VAC system. I got banned for using a "flight" hack. However, I think that there are other ways to see this, something I feel should have been addressed. Let's start by going to the premise of why I got banned.

I was farming on Official Singapore server and decided to climb one guy's house. I got in from the top only to be met with a trap specifically built to lock people inside the house forever. Frustrated at the fact that I would lose my loot and everything else that I managed to work so hard for (which never happened before since there are a lot of Slayers with guns in this game), I decided to rely on a "flight" hack to get me out of the trap and promptly turned it off afterwords.

Now, I understand that the VAC system is doing it's work properly and that I am liable to be banned since the moment I downloaded the hack. I won't try to plead to be removed from the ban list (since it's not gonna happen and I don't see a reason why I should). I just want to know, is it really fair when the game gets me down so badly that I rely on hacks to even get out of a trap zone? I played DayZ for over 70 hrs and I never felt a compliance to even use hacks, not because I don't want to get banned but because I don't see a reason to since it's been fair to me most of the time (though to be honest, SG servers are normally populated with at most 10+ players). I also played Nether and still didn't feel frustrated at the fact that I die a lot as well.

Personally, if there is one thing that Rust is lacking, it's the fact that it doesn't really care for new players. People who are there earlier have all the strong gears already that they resort to slaying as a hobby. I don't find it bad or anything but when ALL players do that (including naked men with rocks), I do see an issue with the game. Survival games are fine only if the game is done up right. The fact is that both games lack the creativity in crafting that Rust have is also a reason why I bought Rust. But when I see things like Super Tower Of Sauron held by only 4 pillars or House Of Doom where players can't get out, I think that people are forgetting to create a game where players can enjoy. The game is lacking that enjoyment that kept me going back to both DayZ and Nether (with Nether less so enjoyable). I feel that player interaction needs to be a more focused key rather than simply crafting and killing. I think that aggro NPC mobs ought to be stronger, better, faster and meaner as well as having more spawned across the whole map to promote player interaction (though not as much dangerous as I would imply). I feel that the lack of compassion in players of Rust should be stopped and that there should be at least a capable number of minority (at least) that are truly friendly (not blindly trusting though) in order to let the game thrive into a more enjoyable game that it was before. Also, Rust shouldn't have trap rooms that prevents players from ever escaping without carrying necessary items OR give the player and easy suicide command.

    Signed,

    A Banned Player
Basically you are mad that the game play allows traps which is just silly because its survival and you always have to be prepared to this kind of situations

You fell into a trap and couldn't get out. This is the purpose of the trap, however you felt it was unfair that you where not clever enough to avoid the trap or to think of way out prior so you turned on a hack.

There is no good reason to cheat/hack, good reddens

Instead of complaining about the game, maybe you should look inwards and improve, practice makes perfect.

On a side note, I find it odd that you found DayZ less griefy as when you die in that game, you are DEAD and forced to start all over. You must not of been going on populated server or to populated area's like military areas otherwise you would of caught a few bullets for sure.

Gary and Facepunch team. Based on this thread....

Do NOT make TRAPS or things in your game that can "trap" people because people will then resort to cheating! Just sayin.. lol

*if you didn't know i'm sarcastic.. so bring on those damn traps! *

First mistake: Searching for hacks before searching for a suicide command (I am still suprise that you were able to fly before even now how to suicide, Is it that easy to hack this game?).
Second mistake: Post that question in this forum (were you expecting something like: you are right man, players using their building skills for trapping other players in order to get their loot is so mean I understand what you did, I would absolutely have done the same?)
