Not sure if this is steam related or related to the new patch, but I used to be able to get my friends server IP from the friends tab section in steams Browser. (Not from the friends list,That has never worked AFAIK) But I can't anymore. Anyone else have this problem as of today? His server also doesn't show up in the friends tab in game either.

If the server hasn't updated, it probably won't.

I was under the impression that you can't connect to a non-updated server with an updated client. He's playing right now and has been for hours. But thats not a problem I just had to ask him to get in, this is more just for pinpointing whether this is a bug in the new patch or something wrong with steam, since we are here to test this alpha. :D

I guess it could be messed up since they might be in the process of coding the joining friends function. But if I'm the only one that has this problem now then that wouldn't surprise me since luck and me have never gotten along very well.

If he's been playing for hours maybe he's still playing on the old patch and the server hasn't been updated. As soon as the server update process starts on that server he'll get booted and won't be able to join unless he updates himself. I didn't realise you could manually connect thru the IP address?

Yeah I would open the steam browser then click my name tab and go to friends, when I would join his game from that screen it would give me his servers ip in a box and i could net.connect from the console

net.connect 123.123.123.123:12345 an example of the console command you use to connect manually
