A hacker was in the open section of my base just now and I saw him running away with the pipe shotgun I had when he killed me, anyway, I saw him drop to the floor in a field and disconnected so I killed him with my rock, got my stuff back. Long story short, I wonder if he got banned really quick too as he was a new hacker...

I had a virus on my computer before that altered my DLL's and caused my computer to crash at what seemed like random times. The posters are right when they say that there are only a few ways to get vac banned.. but I would scan your system for viruses.. take logs of what virus you find because a virus that F's with your dlls is no joke and I can see how it could potentially confuse the vac system into thinking you were hacking.. that's the least of your problems though if you hav a virus that's doing that. Fix it, log it, post it, and then see if someone can help bc I've never seen a ban undone and it's going to tough for you to get it undone with proof of some system corruption (let alone without it)

I swear man...I wish facepunch would keep a forum with all these false claims and of all these people crying foul only to get smacked up the head with a dose of the truth. I mean...how many times does this appear on a normal daily basis?
These people all act like we don't know shit and quite personally am very impressed at the "detective" work legit people use on here. Notice this guy isnt saying anything now that he was caught? Yet...he was so sincere before he was caught.
They really need a hall of shame forum for all these bogus accusations. If anything, for us to give reference to the multitudes of others claiming innocence

One of the better ones was the person a few weeks who vowed to come back and ridicule everyone who posted in their thread when "they eventually get banned" after their cookie cutter excuse was not believed. Because as it was said a while ago: Rust is apparently SO AWESOME that VAC, which has worked fine for years, periodically shits itself because of it.

Just remembered this thread...Valve, unsuprisingly would not remove the ban. They did however give me a free steam gift card worth £15 to buy the game again on a different account.
Makes me wonder how many they buy off to make VAC seem competent.
By the way, that post on the public cheat site is from 5amish that day. I was banned around 1am and made this thread around 2 or 3am I believe. The logic behind it is as such : If they were going to force me to play on non-VAC servers full of hackers, I might as well do so too.

Only way I could do that would be screenshotting Steam support tickets (If they keep them) and I'm not sure if that is breaking any terms or conditions so I'll pass.

Fucking use Paint to blot out your email on the ticket and any personal info like the Steam Support rep using your real name (we don't care or want to know), and post it, you pussy.
Do a search for "false positive vac ban" and one of the first results will be an image of a Steam Support ticket of a Valve rep reversing a VAC ban in Gmod because it was a mistake. It's on vacbanned.com.
Without proof, we don't believe you. You can say what you want, we just won't care. If you're afraid that Valve is going to come to your house and strangle your cats because you screenshotted a ticket of them doing something that is highly unusual of them to do (and would basically only be done if EU consumer protection regulations require), then don't show us, and just accept that we don't believe you.

Yes, actually. If you had just finished playing a game with that "trainer" loaded.. and then decided to log into Steam and play Rust.. It was most likely still loaded into your memory.. and then that's where VAC picked it up. VAC doesnt care if it detects a hack loaded/in memory that isnt related to or for the game your playing at the moment.. VAC cares that you have hacks at all.
