See, a lot of people are going to bash against this and say that there's already a wikipedia.
But hey, if he wants to create his own (which he's obviously done and is coming along nicely), all the power to him. Who are we to stop him? He's not forcing us to use it.

And honestly put, I'd rather use this one (from what I've seen so far) then the obfuscated one that is currently the wikipedia. This one is a helluva' lot cleaner.

    Good job on this.

Although, I do recommend getting an actual domain and I'm assuming you don't have an actual web-host considering the slow loading times. Something to concern yourself over.

There is only one wiki called Wikipedia. The collaborative website editing and publishing method of making pages is a wiki, from the Hawaiian word for "quick."

There are multiple wikis for Rust, the most popular being playrustwiki.

Stop calling everything that runs MediaWiki software a "Wikipedia".

I hope you expand on it to put up more information apart from just about the ingame objects.

Hey there I was thinking of creating my own website for rust information. The wiki pages are inaccurate and terribly lacking. I would like to help you with content creation, I have a lot of info. I play a lot and run quite a few tests.

Might I suggest editing the wiki articles you think are lacking? That's sort of the point of wiki software. It's a lot easier to edit what's in place than to reinvent the world all over again.

The existing Wikis are all a mess, so I'm willing to give this a shot. Looks cleaner and simpler already.

I go to Wikis for information. Ergo, I want it clean, simple and loaded with all the information I would possibly want. I don't need it cluttered with obtrusive and cumbersome images, animations, banners, unnecessary info boxes, etc.

EDIT: After clicking the link, this doesn't actually appear to be a Wiki - instead, it's basically just a website for useful Rust information. I don't see a search box or any way for readers/users to edit the pages. There's nothing wrong with that - it's not as if every "information" website has to be a Wiki. But I do question whether one guy is going to be able to keep this website current and as flush with information as potential users are going to want.

For example, when I go to Wood Wall, I want to be able to see how many C4 is takes to destroy it. When I go to Wood Shelter, I want to see how many hits it takes with each of the tools to destroy it. When I go to Wood Barricade, I want to see how quickly it decays. When I go to Wood Foundation, Pillar or Ceiling, I want to see information about how they're indestructible. Etc.

Those are just examples of the type of info that people are going want from a Wiki. Having the resource requirements, etc., is nice - but that's readily available in-game.

Yet you knew exactly what I meant and it affected you in no way, shape, or form. Get off of your high horse, I'm sorry if I didn't use the correct term for something that is pretty easily generalized as a Wikipedia.

It's not a wiki, and OP never promised that it was. The first two replies called it a wiki.

Am I the only dummy who had to google if obfuscated was a typo?
Anyway I agree. Options are good and this does look cleaner..

Oh, so you literally just ripped the official PlayRust site's wordpress theme, copied the rustwiki info tables, registered a free .tk domain and claim to own the content. That's nice. Good on you OP. GLHF.
