Just joined :)

My luck so far...
Spawned in, went hunting & got a research kit off the first bear I killed.
Went back to shelter to store it.
Straight back out, killed another couple bears & got another research kit, a shotgun (2 slots) and some Kevlar pants.
Built a workbench, researched the Kevlar pants and headed back out.

Third time out hunting and off the first bear I got: a bolt-action rifle (5 slots), another shotgun (3 slots), leather boots and a Kevlar vest!! All off one measly bear!
Studied the second Kevlar with my second research kit :)

What a start lol :)

Server seems friendly too - i'll be heading over to the safe zone to set up camp once I've got some wood. :)

you can also use /kit starter & /kit basic to get some supplies

Actually I've spent a lil more time on there and it turns out I wasn't that lucky after all. Since I got that stuff I have killed a few more animals and frankly the loot is just pouring out of these things.

I would recommend modifying the rarity of loot items. It is currently waaay too easy to get pretty much everything, from Kevlar to bolt-action rifles.

I've not seen it this crazy on any other server and it's kinda OTT if you ask me. Getting all of this stuff is a part of the fun of the game and on this server it just needs to be a little less quick.
The good thing about a kit is that it's optional, but looting never really feels as optional as it's a standard part of the game and within an hour of playing you have almost everything there is to get. :(

Besides this it's a fun set of server rules and a nice PvE zone :)

Yeah, I really don't like the new loot system. Reds are not even worth the bullets.
