Why didn't any devs or support team post the new commands so server owners are aware? I don't even think they acknowledged this whole thread. Great communication!

Would agree with you if food and radiation pills were hard to get but that's not the case.
hello garry can you fix this?
instead fixing bugs , you create more, lol.
Yeah since patch my server doesn't have airdrops either. Mine is set to 5.
I can't believe that there has been no word from any of the devs about this! Its a big problem and not even a (hey guys we know what's going on), or (we don't care) gezz I would even like a (hey fuck you) atleast we would know they read about our issues. Lol
+1 AriDrops still not working. Very annoying, causing very upset players. Any news on this yet?
It will be very Nice to see this issue mentioned on an official post even on the trello or somewhere. From rust's source the problem seems to not exist at all. It's really annoying when you are running a server. Please someone make it official.
Can anyone confirm it has indeed been fixed since the last patch on NON-Modded servers? Seem to still be having issues on our server.
No one would even waste their time then. I have tons of food / rad pills without getting air drops.
On a side note our server has working air drops and its set to a timer. Every hour an air drop comes.
I suspect they have changed the command that triggers the air drops from number of players to just the timer settings.
I can confirm that airdrops are dropping in the recent update. I played around in my server with my scheduled airdrop off and the game dropped near noon as expected.
So you have no mods installed and drops are working for you?
Still not dropping on mine, not sure why.
Mr Cossack, I had it working find on my Vanilla Server with HFB servers, but now I'm with Multiplay servers and it is not working. They claim they are full up to date but I have my doubts. I'm not the only Multiplay customer with this problem. Who are you with?
As I said in the other old thread that you bumped a few minutes before this, it has nothing to do with Multiplay. The server hosts don't control how the game works, they just manage the hardware and network connection that it runs on.
Well I have to disagree there as it is the host who updates the game files. So if the host fails to properly update the game to the current patch, airdrops could essentially not work. Just seems strange that the majority of people who are having this issue are with Multiplay.
I had an issue with Multiplay as well, once I converted the server to modded from community and added a airdrop frequency controller addon it fixed it. But in it's stock form, that shit was busted.
If Multiplay hadn't updated the servers then no one would be able to connect to those servers unless they also did not update the client through Steam.
Airdrops have nothing to do with Multiplay or any other GSP.
You guys a beating a dead horse. this was fixed
No it wasnt. At least not for him, me and a bunch of people.
I appreciate your input, but all you have done so far is tell me what ISN'T causing the problem. Do you have any idea what IS causing it?
Nope, unless the server is just configured wrong. I just don't think you should be placing the blame somewhere that it doesn't belong.
I understand and agree with your logic, but you have to look at this from my point of view. The most recent RUST patch fixed both airdrops and the foundation glitch. With my previous server host, both of those things were in fact fixed. Now with Multiplay, both the airdrops and the foundation glitch are back... Coincidence? I don't think so.
And regarding your comment about how the server must be up to date otherwise players wouldn't be able to join.. I don't know how the game is coded but it seems newer client versions can still play on older server versions. I know this for a fact because with my previous server host, we had not yet updated to the most current version with the airdrop/foundation fixes. Everyone was playing just fine. I ran the steam update through the control panel, patching to the most current version, fixing the airdrops and foundation bug. Players rejoined as normal, proving they could all play on both server versions.
Not all players update the game right away, particularly if the server they're playing on hasn't updated either.
"newer client versions can still play on older server versions." This is 100% incorrect.
When the client updates you cannot see or connect to any servers that are running an older version. They don't even show up in the browser at all. If you update the game right away when the patch releases and launch the game there will be almost no servers there because none have had the chance to update yet.
You don't "know this for a fact" and you did not "prove" anything, you just had a server that had not updated and still had players on it. That's not exactly news.
Again, and I don't know why I have to keep saying this, Multiplay doesn't control or impact your airdrops in any way. That doesn't make any sense. Airdrops are a part of the server software, not the GSP.
The foundation glitch still happens sometimes, I wouldn't be surprised if the airdrop one did, too.
EDIT: I suppose there is a chance that Multiplay could have somehow messed up the server software while configuring it for your use, but it seems unlikely since it's just downloaded from Steamcmd. And if that were the case then it could/would be happening to any GSP, not just Multiplay.
What I know for a fact is that I had an outdated / un-updated server with 10 players on it. I took it down, updated to the current version of rust, and those same 10 players joined right away. Considering steam requires you to update your game files before opening the game, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say those 10 players most likely had already up to date patches. So tell me how it's possible they played on my server in the same 5 minute time frame where it was first version 02.25, then two minutes later, 03.18.
As for "Multiplay not impacting airdrops", I don't know why I have to keep saying this again but if Multiplay failed to update their server software properly, it would indeed impact airdrops.
Thanks for your help but quite frankly I'm tired of your constant need to blame the fact that the game is in Alpha rather than considering the facts. I am currently discussing the issue with Multiplay Support Staff and will update you on when and how they have fixed it.
Would be nice if you could give us an update.
Steam does NOT force people to update a game before running it. People can turn off automatic updates. I wouldn't be surprised if those players updated their client when the server went down for the update.
Hi guys, I'm the community manager at Multiplay.
I can confirm that this isn't occurring as a result of anything in the server setup and that this is currently occurring for all server providers, not just us.
The only current solution that we can suggest is to run other Oxide plugins to get around the issue. It isn't ideal but nothing is when a game is in a heavily alpha state.
