    Has the dev team made any statement about gamma correction other than the fact that using "gamma hacks" is a bannable offense?

    With NVIDIA drivers (and the control panel that comes with it), you can adjust desktop gamma correction settings (which also apply to the game if you play in Window mode), and you can get to the point where you see pretty well at night (except for maybe 2-3 minutes in the darkest of night).

    It'd be retarded to argue that NVIDIA gamma settings count as a hack, but I'm guessing it does essentially the same thing as people using other software to adjust gamma (I'm not sure how gamma hacks work, but I can't imagine they do anything too different from that)... Are people eventually gonna get banned for adjusting their gamma through "normal" mechanisms like that or what??

    I think if they wanna fix this all around it is going to be a tough road.

    The only thing i can think of, is make it so you can only see so far at night, no matter what.
