    i think there should be robots because there could be a story behind it like there is a computer under the ground that is making clones so that is why we all look the same and the air-drops and coming over the island because of a signal coming from the computer. There also could be a plane that drops robots to try and wipe out the computer and whatever the robots come across they annihilat

    why not. A blob.

    There would be two different ways. Either it would cover a player in full, the blob start by destroying the objects that the players door and after inflicting damage on the player. Obviously, once the blob to destroy all objects, the players found "naked ass".

    Or second solution, a blob is a predatory creature, hunting and players into their home. A blob does not need to destroy the houses to get into it, it passes between the small openings and directly attack the players. If he kills a player in a house, the blob takes to be lived and then either kill him, or wait until the house is destroyed by itself to leave the blob.

    (the movies oblivion.)

    Or rather, when players come too near a place where there is a computer, a modern camp, the aircraft can arrive and dropping robots. This release would be achieved after 3 to 5 minutes.

    Why not Grimlins, legend of the first aviator who thought that a creature could take their aircraft in flight.

    If players can have parachutes fly the grimlins have a small chance to attack. However, not every time.





    The grimlins could also bring down the refueling aircraft for the players. Maybe once a month? or not at all? And the carcass of the plane is on the ground would be infested Grimlins.

    Seeing as dinos have the lead I dont see why animals closer to our era could exist on some remote island, forgotten by time.

    The problem is that Rust is a survival game, it does not need any more than Rust becomes Safarie ... This is why animals out of the ordinary or mythological would be more fun and less mundane .
    Safari is when you go on a hike/jeep drive and look at the animals around you. Survival is being thrown into the wilderness and having to get by. Too many mythological and you turn this into Skyrim/Terraria. I'd be fine with Sabre cats or mammoths.

    Say, I'm not particularly too old for creatures like minotaurs, centaurs etc.. But the more mythological creatures present. (Grimlins, yeti, bigfoot, giant etc. Octopus) creatures which some believe they exist and others do not. Creatures more contemporary.

    After the dinos, I'm not a big fan, and therefore the same for most prehistoric creatures.

    I prefer a safari with creatures that I've never seen that animals that I see every day on TV, the zoo etc. ...

    Giants and mammoths would be cool. There should be animations where they grab you and bite you. There should be different kinds of giants and one should throw boulders at you

    that will be the best idea. they appear at night, but at day they will be on rad towns, caves, somewhere without light.

    So you do whatever you want at day, but if you go outside at night, look out, they will follow you.

    Dinosaurs would be weird considering the fact that The Stomping Land is a survival game in production that also has dinosaurs.

    Mutant animals, mixed with the rest. You'd need to scope out behavior and such before approaching, because they'd kill you in near a hit.

    I would like to see some variation on 'bosses'. Super tough mutant animals that pose a challenge to more advanced players. High HP, fast, high damage; shouldn't be approached until you have some serious kit or are working with a group.

    Basically providing some later game challenge without having to resort to banditry

    What is the problem, giants ok, this is very interesting as an idea, but mammouthe with giants. There's no such effect, already seen ... Skyrim ... to the limit, or one or the other.

    Then you have a variety of small as large creature.

    An example of a creature that could be found in water. The sirens could make the same noise as a player, or even call for help. Or they may have the appearance of a player. Walking on the sand, running etc.. And when a real player goes to the siren, it sinks in water. If the player follows the siren, the siren attack.

    why not traditional but effective giant leech.

    Which could attack a single player if it is large enough, it clings to the players and it would suck the blood until he kills himself.

    Or a pack of leech attack a player alone, but not in group. If a player dies in a pack of leech, leech becomes a small alorts a giant leech.

    i also think the going alone the same lines as you lamenuit i think when they put fishing in to the game they also should put killer fish that jump up at you when you are fishing but not all the time.

    When you are swimming you could have sharks that try and eat you when you are doing you're own little thing or piranhas that try and eat you toes so swimming will become fun but have you on the edge of you seat.

    thx Outback, actually are lampreys. For 1337Alec, jonnyswboy , if you guys want full military everywhere, with vehicles, weapons, turrets defenses, and PVP. This call a war game ... a FPS, a conterstrike a Doom, a ureal, there is talk of a survival game. Overall survival is against the elements of nature, animals, or mythological not and optionally other players.

    in my dream game what Ive always hoped for in terms of enemy's is a mix not a single enemy but having a mixture that is all over the map for the most part or staying in there set place not because they are programed to but because they have no reason to roam or go to other areas like below

    north- could be a military base just a little area fortified to the teeth so they have no reason to leave the base so it could be something along the lines of a boss area where 1 player has no chance to beat it there's just to much fire power forcing the player to bring a group of friends or trust a random and whose to say you/him don't back stab one another after the base is taken

    middle of the map- could be a small/medium sized city where you would run into npcs/ghouls searching the city for loot but mostly a area for metal from the buildings cars signs other then that its just random loot food low tier weapons and gear

    east/west- could be a mixture of forest and swamp area where you would run into mutant animals ranging from reptiles/deer/bear/wolfs mutated to something like (http://imgur.com/oXFAlrA,a4Gy0a3) but not just like that let your mind run free when designing the animals

    south- could be a big beach area for lack of a better idea just to give some area of water and easy food gathering

    whole map- there would be bandit like npc with medium gear that look like players and dont act normal stranded ai following easy to see set paths not going near loot maybe toss in some player errors and other random things players do like swapping weapons just because they can

    i wouldn't mind dinosaurs but it would be quite similar to beasts of prey then.

    i voted mutant animals :)

    military and bot people do nothing for me, if it has to be people i would go with the natives with basic weapons idea.

    Indeed, in the Forest creatures are very good, but maybe we need monsters that are specific to Rust? Own players who will be on the servers, and come out of the ordinary?

    Why not the Mapinguari. It would give the best effect in a little dark environment, and all of a sudden, a disturbing and bright eye opens. In addition there is the beast in the jungle.

    The Dahu, monster typically French, with only two legs, very agile, he jumps on the roofs of houses, in order to scare people. Take hunting is taking the risk of getting lost in the forest.

    I say normal human beign NPCs. Both bad bandits and good citizens or a town. Maybe mutants in radiated zones, like S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

    Dinosaurs are NOT being added. There's a quote from Garry that basically says as much and I've posted it in this thread a few times. I'm not gunna find it again because I'm on my phone.

    And thank god, too... Dinosaurs would be corny and lame. I'm not 5 years old anymore, I want a game that is for adults. Pretty much anything on the poll I would be okay with besides Dinosaurs.

    Seeing how the game is supposed to be influenced by the game (S.T.A.L.K.E.R) there ought to be some stuff linking the games together. At the moment, the only thing linking it together are rad animals (far fetched atempt for mutants) & the radiation. Not much eyh?
