This morning I come to my computer start up Rust and an error comes up and says 'facepunch_connector_vac_banned' when i click a server.. Ive researched on other threads from other forums and it seems like the only thing I can do is buy Rust again. Its a 1 out of 100 chance (99% chance im banned for hacks which I have non of) that I gotten fake banned. (i dont know how you call it) I am wondering if there is any other way to get rust back besides buying it again or if it was a fake ban... (look me up on steam for proof of vac ban: TheDawnKiller)

Your profile says you've been Vac banned as of 0 days ago. The chances of getting a false positive vac ban is nearly impossible. You have a better chance of winning some money from the lottery than you do getting vac banned from a false positive.
You either cheated and don't want to admit it, or you edited a game file without realizing the consequences. Steam/Valve won't help you with that.

I'm pretty sure if a program that detects manual injections banned you and you happened to be on part of a accusation list, it pretty much suits a nice title of "Cheater" for you, having lag would only rubber band or completely stop you, and does not levitate you into the air.
I'm pretty sure no one is stupid enough to think lag is a fly hack, because if you're floating way above the ground; it's too easy to accuse you really.

Well, I actually checked Cheatpunch to see if you're banned but it doesn't seem you are. Guess I can't be smug and point out something to raise my self esteem :C. Regardless, like mentioned before chances are that you cheated, though I have no sympathy for hackers its a shame you lost the opportunity to play.

Lol even if you didn't cheat, it looks like you have an extensive history of greifing, according to a google search of your name, your name came up about six times in different games where you are either banned or being complained about for greifing. Even if you weren't cheating, you are a horrible player anyways.

Since 2013 VAC has begun doing risky stuff.
Like sniffing out the sites you visited.

From a trustworthy and unbiased source if you can't mentally evaluate and run code on your own.

In layman terms.
It calls your DNS cache and it transforms it into MD5 hashes before sending it away.
You can find this module on your own if you catch all VAC modules when starting steam.
There's enough info on the internet on how to do it. I won't be linking it because most results on how to do it are also providing cheat related content

Unbiased source or fuck off. Something without "hacks" in the domain name. They have every reason to spread FUD about Valve.
I give them no credibility. These are the same sorts of sites that would have you believe every Rust VAC ban was a false positive, if that wasn't disproven by the lack of any single screenshot of Steam Support going "oops, mistake" since VAC started laying down pain in January.

There is another thing too, even though I was VAC banned on all the VAC protected servers, I can still connect to some servers in the modded section. The warning sign is still there though.

I suspect he was being sarcastic about pirating. Cheaters won't have any problem using a cracked version to keep perpetuating their misery onto others. Hence, the sarcasm to wait for a cracked copy as all cheaters would use it.

If the truth hurts, change. Valve does not get this wrong. Has it? Sure. But what is that percentage? As someone said, your chances of winning the lottery are higher than getting a false positive. Essentially, acting like you didn't cheat makes you look and sound foolish. Grow a pair and admit the truth instead of playing games that even 10 year olds can clearly see are hogwash. I'd have more sympathy for you, if you were at least honest about things. Until then, I'm going to call it as I see it.
Seriously, if someone said, "I cheated", and then realized it was wrong and that getting caught has hampered their ability to play and acknowledge it as a fair price to pay for their crimes... I'd be more likely to say "I hope you've learned your lesson and take it seriously going forward" with respect for someone that learned and manned up about it. As is, liars and cheaters go hand in hand. So I have two things to say...
