Bloody :)? Think twice before saying smth. If there is 1 idiot from Russian that doesn't mean that everybody is the same!

Evidently someone doesn't understand what being VAC banned means...
missunderstood = deleted
Dumb post deleted. Thanks myself!

At this point of the Discussion. All i can do is laugh at your stupid Face.![]()
Oh i'm sorry - Am I wrong? Please enlighten me and highlight my mistake?
UK3 was completely full of Russians - Mostly assholes. I am not basing my opinions on a single user.
yeah my personal experience is based on hundreds & hundreds of hours in different games.
god, when BRs and Russians entered early Call of Duty 1 servers/Unreal/Quake servers..
you just knew it was going to be a hacker or a total asshole. it was a given
If you are VAC banned in TF2, you are VAC banned from a number of Source games, and your TF2 inventory is wiped (except for Mann Co. store purchases), but that isn't ANY game as you claimed.
Let's hear it one more time!

I had to stop playing the game "Time Zero" because of Russians. It is a Russian based game. They found out I was an American. From then on it was kill on site for them. And I loved that game too...
Oh I see, so what you are trying to tell me, is that VAC bans do not actually ban you from servers that are protected by VAC?
How backwards is that? I figured it would be one Unified system, where if you cheat on a server protected by VAC, anything else that uses VAC will enforce the same rules and honour all historical bans.
I have read your link, and did read the part that definitely makes me look stupid, my bad. But it is slightly illogical.
I don't care who you are and where are you from. In Rust I KOS everybody because there is always a "Friendly" player with a shotgun!
I do not have any VAC bans on my account, but let's pretend that I cheated in TF2 in 2008.
Should I really be prohibited from playing Rust if I've had five years and counting of perfect behaviour?
I'm not talking about the ethics of saying "once a cheater, always a cheater."
I'm saying, it would be insane for Valve to kill off customers like that over one single hack detection. For Valve's own games, you get banned by engine if you cheat (except that CS:GO is excluded from the Source list, as is L4D1/2), and you can no longer play on VAC-protected servers in those games.
It would be insane to globally ban someone from any VAC-protected server, ever, across all titles that use it, because someone took a wallhack out to play in CS1.6 in 2007 because they got drunk and thought it'd be funny. They'd be giving up hundreds or thousands of dollars in future sales every time they VAC banned someone.
The punishment needs to fit the crime. You don't punish a single act of shoplifting with lifelong exile to a prison colony island 10 miles offshore with no roof over the inmates' quarters.
Okay, sure. I can understand that - But then should VAC not just implement an expiration timer on the bans - To enable play on VAC servers after x amount of years?
As it currently stands, it does not matter if the game is 6-7 years old or 6 months old, it will still only ban you for that one third-party title that so happens to be protected by VAC.
For example, say if DayZ had VAC (Does it?) and you hacked and got banned from it - You would still be able to run Rust and hack on that also. But your account is already flagged as simply 'VAC Banned'.
How would you differentiate between the bans?
Well, see, Valve used to do that. VAC originally was only a one-year ban.
The rate of repeat offenders was sky high, so they increased it to five years.
That didn't discourage people enough either, and that's why VAC is now permanent.
If you hack in one game, your account is permanently branded with the Red Badge of Shame (VAC Bans: not zero), and many players treat that as a sign to not have anything to do with you.
It also tells you the time since last ban, so you can look at someone's account and see that they were VAC banned, you know, four years ago, so they've probably learned their lesson, but if they were VAC banned two weeks ago, they're totally a cheater.
If you insist on cheating on other VAC-protected games after you get VAC banned on one, Valve will happily VAC ban you every time they catch you. You can keep making new accounts and buying the game if you really want to, but you're just giving the publisher money for new copies of the same game. Most hackers don't have the money and patience to do this, but some really are so pathetic that they do.
Valve doesn't care, they'll still ban someone for cheating regardless of what their backstory is.
You hacked
Deal with it!
Hasn't this thread served its purpose?
actually wasn't it only in the same engine?
I mean cs 1.6 bans do not affect source games
Everyone is crying right now about how retarted and mean assholes Russians are. But you know what? Russians hate Americans for enough reasons to hack and destroy games.
1. Americans always say Russians are stupid communists.
2. Americans lough at Russians when they speak English
3. Americans say Russians are gay
4. In WW2 America take all honor for defeating the Germans. But it was Russia who defeated them and take over Berlin
5. Americans always say Russia is poor
6. Americans say Russia is corrupt
7. Americans say Russians dont know English
8. Americans always make games where they need to fight vs Russians, and mostly Russia loses.
9. Americans say Russians are drunk idiots
10 Americans name Russians Ruskies.
There are hundreds of other reasons, why Russians hate Americans. And if you dont like Russians, you are screwed couse they are everywhere.
Okay this really made me laugh so hard I feel like I need to post.
1. Nobody really says this I don't know what you're talking about
2. That's because Russian accents are badass
3. Russians call Americans gay, point?
4. The U.S.S.R. also turned East Germany into a shithole for the next 50 years
5. Let's look at the Sochi Olympics and see what conclusions any Foreigner might draw from that.
6. Americans say the United States is corrupt too, point?
7. A lot of them kind of don't...
8. What's wrong with this, boycott games made by all westerners where Russians are the bad guys
9. Lol....
10.So, you guys call us Yanks. What does it matter?
i got banned for what?
i was trying to make a server but the files was outdated :(
and now am banned :(
Did you download the outdated server?
yea and now i'm banned:(
some guy on tunngle gave me the files
Oh.

"if you dont like Russians, you are screwed couse they are everyhwere."

LOL!!
any way to chat with a dev or garry?
Citation needed.
I'm not a mod, and I'm not saying this is going to happen to you, but typically garry permabans people who pirate Rust, it's not tolerated here at all.
So you might be optimistic expecting to speak to him about getting unbanned, if that's what you want to talk about.
What good would speaking to a game dev do? A VAC ban is applied by Valve, not anyone affiliated with the game itself. And Valve will not lift a VAC ban under any circumstances.
what do you mean with pirate rust?
I bought the game on steam
cried the infamous swashbuckler cookiedk as they marched him to the gallows
You pirated the server though.
What's your Steam ID or community profile URL? I'm not going to harass you or anything, it's for checking your status on the tools available.
I don't think the devs can clear that up for you buddy.
VAC DOES make mistakes, they're not public.
OP Don't post stupid dribble posts here, send in a ticket to steam support, your ban probably won't be lifted so just buy the game again.
VAC Is NOT perfect, they're not going to advertise their fuckups though, the only public situation happened with MW2 and that was because it was a MASS ban of innocent people. But please don't act like you KNOW when you don't.
TLDR; OP Probably was hacking, changing your cfg won't get you banned otherwise I would be banned from every CS for messing with the cfg.
OP has been found out and no where to be found afterwards. Thread continues...
actually because this game is still in alpha, editing your config file counts as modifying your game. VaC considers any sort of modification client sided or server sided a cheat. It will ban for config usually in Alpha/Beta games.
VAC bans are controlled by Steam Support. You need to contact them. garry and the Rust devs cannot lift a VAC ban.
Good luck.
Steam Tickets don't do anything.
they just Copy and Paste
Modern Warfare 2 and 3 VAC you for all file modifications EXCEPT for config changes, and those two titles are by far the most restrictive so far.
Learn how VAC works before posting. You're talking misinformation.
Really enjoying this thread, as a simple gamer that has no insight into using scripts to cheat.
A few things spring to mind, mainly by observing those that will round on someone who has been VAC banned...
A) Are we all comfortable that everyone 'caught' by VAC is a cheater? VAC's stated record on false positives seems about as likely as pissing in the wind.
B) If VAC is so good then why do we see the continual posts about script kiddies exploiting the game?
Edited:
Source?
Because VAC isn't instant. It takes a fair while for it to process a ban. Um no lol. Server side shit will not get you VAC'd, nor will messing with config settings.
