We run a fantastic server, but we've recently been suffering from mass DDoSing every night because the hackers we've banned are really pissed. They started making posts to promote our server in the Rust Server thread to get all of our posts banned and locked for spam.

Please unlock the thread and unban the OP. Any other thread linking to our server is the DDoSers trying to grief us by getting our forum thread locked (which worked).

It's not damage control. Our server thread is locked because we're getting griefed, and in the reason it says stop making posts. How are we supposed to grow the server if we cant bump our official thread and can't make new posts?

Their server is getting DDoS'ed every night and their server thread was locked because the hackers griefed it. Quit being a cock. If you have nothing to contribute to the thread don't post at all. Not even to boost your post count.

We had to ban about 15 people who showed up on the new Cheatpunch, a few of them were in a clan and started openly DDoSing us, talking to us about it while it happened. Our server is dying because of it.
I don't get why cheaters have to be such assholes when they get caught cheating.

Obviously nothing about the DDoS, I want them to unban our official forum thread so we can continue to grow the server. It's locked atm.

I'm sorry, the Rust Servers section is part of Facepunch. Facepunch site-wide rules apply. That means contentless bumping is likely to attract... "unwanted moderator attention."
PM a mod and explain the situation; they don't take kindly to impersonation and framing users either.

Use the one postal left unlocked instead.

If I understand Garry's posts correctly they take aggressive actions to go after cheaters. Our server is getting attacked for doing just that, I can't imagine why he would want our forum thread locked.

All 3 of those were new servers with fresh wipes. First was HFB, then HFB rehosted in Seattle instead of LA, then a new server in San Jose hosted by Multiplay. They were not duplicate server threads.
I think I can tell why your server's threads are being locked: you guys keep creating them.
Use the one postal left unlocked instead.

If you guys are running three separate simultaneous servers, you probably would be allowed to have a separate thread for each server.
I say this with a giant boulder of salt because I'm not a mod and I can't make that decision, but I've seen postal issue a ban reason that amounted to, "make only ONE thread for each of your servers, not three each" so I would ask him if you don't want to risk a tempban to find out the hard way.

Or even make one of the repetitive and otherwise meaningless bumps have a purpose.. like an actual update regarding the server?

"Sorry guys, we're getting DDoSed after banning all those hackers. Don't know when it will stop, we may need to switch IP's again soon."

So TLDR everyone here is an asshole and our server is going to die because hackers ddos us into the ground and we're not allowed to have a thread on the forums. Our admin is banned for a week, he CANT update the one that is still open.
(User was permabanned for this post ("alt of Pflame" - postal))

The entire reason the threads are being locked and pflame is currently banned is because you guys won't keep it to one thread.
It's one group of people with a server. I don't care if you change hosting so that the new IP address is a server on the fucking International Space Station and you've re-added zombies but they look like Kerbals.
One server owner, one server, one thread. Don't argue with us, we're not mods and we can't make decisions either way. If pflame wants to argue about it, get him to load up Facepunch and go to the only forum he'll be able to see while banned: The Refugee Camp. (You won't be able to see this forum while unbanned, that's normal.) postal's rules sticky clearly outlined everything your friend's done wrong. If the title of the thread needs changing, PM a mod (like postal, he's nice if you're proactive about things instead of fucking around) and ask for the title to be changed, since title editing locks down shortly after the thread's created.
The RC is for politely appealing bans. The mods tend to be lenient and reduce/remove bans when they feel that the user has learned their lesson and won't do it again.
