Well i finaly got back and all he did was use all my hard earned stuff and turned it into his own base, Well i've had it with this game... Nothing but disappointment every time
How about spending more than 1 min looking for a proper server?

... they kept spaming the chat saying "Facepunch and Garry are noobs they cant even make a proper anti hack!!! We bypassed it in less then 24 hours"
Yet they are playing this "Noob" game and by the sounds of it enjoying it too.

So my question is how long is this going to last
How often do you update your anti-virus? Does that ever end? Same thing here, new hacks comes in, new anti-cheats are put in place. The only difference here is, they have to buy the game each time. Thus giving more money for the developers thus giving us an even better game. So I'm not complaining, I like it when ppl try new things and make the game better (in the long run)

I've been playing league of legends for 2.5 years and I haven't seen a single hacker. I don't know how
the hacks work and why there isn't a single one for LoL but a game without hackers IS possible.

On topic: I suggest playing on lower population server with 20-40 players, the hackers seem to avoid this type of servers from my experiences.

They should do like other gaming companies did...wire the people who are making hacks for his game to work for him preventing hackers instead...

Shit son everyone and their grandmother dupes weapons in that game lol
Just wanted to say that eh, that's not a hack per say, rather it's a exploit that the Gearbox team doesn't seem very content on finding a fix for.

    I recommend a few things

    1. Have constant very small updates to the client using an algorithm that forces the hack author to keep updating his hack which takes him effort and time. Pretty soon he will not update as it wont be worth the effort and will move to another online game which is easier to hack and more profitable.

    2. Take legal action against a couple of hackers (and/or the hack author). I'm not suggesting legal action against every single hacker but only some to send a message.

I mean circumventing proprietry software (and/or private servers) is a criminal offence is it not?

As i think this is a massive problem for this game. Especially because its still in development, its an online game, cheaters make people not want to play. How is the game going to continue if nobody wants to play anymore because of hackers? Its one thing to be killed be a hacker in an online fps. All you lose is a spawn life. In this game you lose a TON more than that...you lose countless hours you put into the game (building and acquiring stuff). Perhaps look at how some MMOs are successful in stopping hackers? As this game seems more like an MMO.

Well what I did in DayZ was that I've contacted one of the best hackers and bought from him anti-cheat scripts.
    Poof - 95% cheaters gone:)

Rust is attracting hackers because Rust is attracting legitimate players because it is a damn good game. They will eventually get bored and go and shite all over another game eventually. Its a shame. Problem is they are currently feeding off the attention they are getting like pigs at a trough.

Love it how everyone likes VAC "they get banned within a month"

It doesn't scare them off, they got a month of "fun" and we're all getting mad about their shit.

They don't give a fuck about the VAC, pretty sure of it, most of them know they will get it.

They pull down $19 and they can go do the same shit for a month again.

Just play on low servers with admins online, you'll barely notice a hacker.

It will be boring but hey.. it's something!

    "Gary will be richer"

Yeah but he looses alot of players that have to get their shit together all the time. Besides if people ask them "How's Rust" they will reply with "hackers" which means they will not get friends over.

VAC ban? Pathetic.. Should be a IP ban FOREVER... Not account wide.. IP WIDE

    1. That is exactly garry's plan.

    2. Not worth FP Studios' time, and never mind the problems with going after people for crimes committed in other countries.

If you think the devs are taking this lying down, you have not paid attention to a single thing they've said in 2014.

VAC ban? Pathetic.. Should be a IP ban FOREVER... Not account wide.. IP WIDE
Okay, it's great that you're all mad and all, but it's fucktons easier to change your IP than it is to buy a new Steam account and replace all your games because your Steam ID got banned.

Seriously, before you open your mouth, think about what it is that you're saying.

Never mind the legal tangles of depriving someone of possibly thousands of dollars worth of legally-purchased software licenses because they used one hack in one game on one occasion.

    Talk about disproportionate punishment.

Changing your IP, thought that's limited??

I'm not mad, i never see hackers i play on small servers.

It's just a suggestion, that's why this forum is made ?

There are new hackers everyday, so i don't think they give 2 fucks about their steam account now do they?

They could just create a new steam account and purchase Rust on that.

    Worst hiring policy ever.
What would you do with a roomful of confessed video game exploiters?
    How could you trust them?
They would forever be under close scrutiny because they have already sacrificed their integrity for a game.
You mean like Governments working with known hacker groups, terrorists and such? They seem to be doing perfectly fine - maybe even better :)

just sit back and laugh at the kids paying for hacks to "have fun" or "be skilled"
In Russia, hackers laugh at you! (Because you'll find the majority of them are there to troll players and couldn't care less :P)

They bypassed CheatPunch, but by the sounds of what they done, VAC is just around the corner.
More like a few weeks. I've seen hackers last longer than you'd hope for :( Quite a lot of them tend to have a good 200-300 hours played.

You can't really hack in dota 2 since everything is server side.
If only more games worked off this basis, majority of the extreme hacks would be fixed and you'd probably just be left with the standard Aimbot / ESP

Did you just compare Rust hacks to cyber warfare?

You need to go outside right now and not come back to the Internet until you have all four limbs securely in contact with reality.

Changing your IP, thought that's limited??
Depending on your ISP, all you have to do is change your router's MAC address (and this can be changed in the router settings) and your modem assigns you a new IP address. Some people only need to reboot their cable/DSL modem.

And, hey, unless they're pretty wealthy, $20 every week to continue cheating at Rust sounds like it's going to wear them out fairly soon.

As sad as it may be, I think you'll find your further from reality. If you want to understand how it works then you've got to get someone who knows what they're doing. Sadly this isn't the case, and this is why cheaters will continue to run rampant. But I think you'll find its more $20 every 4-5 weeks, maybe even more. Cheaper than a Night out for the time you get :)

But by all means, I'm sure you couldn't care what I've got to say so all I can say is back into the forums you go and work on raising that post count even more!

IP Bans wont work...you can easily switch IP in 20 secs by using a Proxy (Google offers millions of them)

HWID Bans wont work...same as above

SteamID Bans...they already bypass this also

Any kind of ban is bypassable...so baning is not the solution...i have seen hackers troll admins by rejoining the servers over and over when they are banned...they even did it on the server Teamspeak as well rejoining every time they get banned...always rejoining with diferent country flags (proxys)...

This is just a war we cant win unless you hunt them down with lawsuits or they get bored...but even with lawsuits they will preveil it they want to...just look at PirateBay , Mega, even Anonymous...there is just no way to stop them...even if you try to hunt them down...

I can't say that i agree whit you but, no one can stop the internet. If they can bypass, we can block... if they can block we can bypass. There is allways a way.
