...that sounds like you were feeding the trolls, man. I don't think you won nearly as much as you think you did. I've never encountered a hacker who banned themselves from a server because their feelings got hurt. That's the point of hacking, to make people rage because you're beating them with cheats.

Of course there's the odd accusation which is false, so the ESP also helped to identify the false accusations. I don't really WANT to buy Rust again, but I feel i owe it to the players on mine and my friends server to buy it again so i can continue making a server that is as safe as possible from people who will try and ruin the player experience by constantly harassing players by killing them with hacks.

I understood the risk of using the cheat program, regarding VAC bans anyway, but the cheatpunch came as a surprise. It may also be worth noting that we used a plugin for servers called 'Fly' which allows admin to fly above players. We used this so players we were following couldnt hear our footsteps, alongside the STP teleport addon, which allows admins to teleport to players annoymously. But if a player who is hacking is using the ESP, i believe they can see admins anyway, even with invisible clothing.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. I hope that this post is seen by you, and once again, im glad you've managed to get this much success from CheatPunch, and i hope that i'll be around for a long time.

Garry, do you detect gamma changes? Obviously there is no injection, just curious if you are checking hit percentage when the game is completely dark. I know there was talk about blurring things for people who turn up gamma, so its frowned upon. Just curious if you consider it ban worthy.

A person that played on my server got banned for ESP/Lighthack. We were surprised because he seemed like a legitimate player but you never know. He says he was using the map overlay that was posted here:

I'm not advocating him being unbanned or remaining banned as I don't know if this is a bannable offense or a false positive, but I figured I'd post here for you to look into it and maybe add another category to your bans so the map hackers don't get tagged as ESP/light hackers (or maybe he's just a liar). His steam ID is 76561197963159109.

Why would a map overlay count as ESP/light source hacks? It's very unlikely that an anticheat developed by the programmers of the actual game itself will have a hard time telling the difference between a map overlay and a hack that draws boxes and names around everyone and another hack that creates a light source around you so you can see at night.

My money's on him being a liar until garry says that there've been false positives.
