Are you kidding me? We saw you hacking with ShoSho and friends on North America 4 pretty much every day for weeks. You were such a thorn in our side with your flying / aimbotting that I even took the time to make a post on the forums about it, and email Garry direct. Of all the hackers on NA4, you were the most obnoxious, and obvious, literally making no efforts at all to hide what you were doing.

I say good riddance to you, and I take pleasure in occasionally logging in to NA4 to watch your monstrous towers decay. They're nearly gone now, hope it was all worth it.

Thank you Garry for taking the time to create / implement CheatPunch, it sounds like it's doing a far better job than VAC. Hopefully we can get the solution and/or shared banlist implemented on our server in the near future.

AFAIK screenshots from the beta of TESO have the account's email address embedded in the image data. Steganography can be an incredibly powerful tool when used properly.

And I was thinking that Steam could grab it through the SSL tunnel while someone purchases the game. To help with the spoofing that would come later.

Unlike BP, I would use the more heavy handed approach and ban, rather than just announce that the cheat was detected :).

Garry are you ever going to give people a legitimate answer or will you continue to just post snide comments and change your mind on what you did to catch people every 10 mins?

So far all I see is you starting a troll fest when you know that no legitimate solution can be had in a public forum where all people do is Cry mour haxxor replies.

Lets review a history of anti-cheat clients

BE- has admitted false positives in past : reviewed corrected

Vac- very strict but the have over turned some bans

FF- lets not mention the Opps we false banned 35k warz players then unbanned them the next week after Titiov stated their system was 100% flawless

PB- lots of issues over years

what all of these have in common is they have never turned an appeal process into a troll fest of forum posts with smart ass comments from mods instead of legit replies. Very unclassy and unprofessional.

I would suggest that you review how you respond to your community members as it is a direct reflection of how any company you are associated with will likely share in the shame of anything that can be misinterpreted as a smug self righteous attitude by the moderators.

Other issues:

1. People asked if they need to worry about server plugs : no post
2. People asking about GPU gamma booste: no post
3. People claiming false posatives: deleted posts and smug comments instead of solutions or reveiw

You can not think that the community is stupid enough to believe that you manually went through thousands of SS and manual banned 5kish people.

Also a ton people begin on ban list then not being banned from official servers until they come post in the forum you told them to post on if they are having an issue.

Also you starter for this thread makes it clear that you feel there are no false positives as everyone should just admit they are hacking.

Every system has flaws not saying 100% people claiming to be innocent are but, what it even 5% are?

I do not know much about Garry's mod as I have never played but, people looked up to you and praised you, yet my first impression after seeing how you handle yourself in a professional environment is a bit off putting to say the least.

Yes I classify an official thread moderated by a company for the purposes of their product by the mods/devs them selves to be a professional forum.

I hate to say it as the bliz Dev's are robots but, at least they have professional answers and not just lols haxxor got caught or lol stupid end user.
