Post #1At least make it an option for servers. Also make it offical so we can restrict what people can use. That way players do not have to worry about their buildings being blown up but the door can still be picked. I bought this game and the very next day you got rid of zombies, when the only reason why I bought this game was because its minecraft with guns and zombies. On my server we are building towns where people work together or you can join a band of raiders and killers. Bounties being placed on bad guys and then we have to survive zombies attacking our buildings. Also, if a player dies, would be awesome if their body comes back as a super zombie, if they died to zombies.
So, to sum it up, yes i edited this now that the blood is not boiling, please allow use to pick if we have zombies or not. That would make the game a lot more fun in the end.

It was your fault for buying a game with so much subject to change. If you read anything at all, you would have known zombies were just placeholders.

Rust has never been advertised as "minecraft with guns and zombies." You hyped yourself into believing that and then bought the game based on that false impression.
The devs have been open about their plans to remove zombies for seven months.
You bought into an early alpha, and unfortunately, it is changing. This is the life of an alpha.
I don't think you understand how much work would be involved in continuing to support zombies as an option in the default game. Especially since the devs do not want Rust to be a DayZ clone anymore, which is how it started.
Nobody ripped you off, you bought something without actually researching it at all. Sucks, but maybe this will teach you a lesson to be more careful with your money before spending it.

I know they where place holders, but I really want to see how it played with the zombies. I do support them in what they are creating. Even if zombies are not the final goal, this pretty much is mine craft with guns in a mad max world. Call of duty is not a zombie game but yet they have zombies. All i want is the option to have zombies or at least make what we fight on the map selectable.

Rust isn't a zombie game, if it was, it would become yet another generic, boring, idiotic and tasteless survivor 'horror' which there already are hundreds of.

Considering the devs don't want zombies at all, you're very likely going to be super disappointed. They're not going to put in all the extra work of keeping zombies in the game and making sure they don't break, when they don't want them in the game in the first place, just to make you happy.
Also, the zombies were really dumb, AI-wise, and frankly pretty boring. It was like playing a random build of an early, early version of the DayZ mod, only with a different set of engine glitches instead of ARMA's problems.
Please accept that you didn't buy a zombie game. You thought you were, but you were wrong and could've spent more time researching your purchase if it was really that important to you.
If you want a zombie survival game, there are plenty of others out there, including several that are further along in development than Rust is (that means fewer big glitches, usually). This isn't one.
