So it seems the "revvvealed" was an intentional clue.
Vampires I guess is one obvious possibility according to the v's.
Personally I'm hoping for dinosaurs.
What you guys all thinking?

Or, rogue renegade robots leftover from whatever civilization just collapsed. Maybe the robots are the reason the civilization collapsed!

I think vampires are a short side-step from zombies and would be a poor choice. Somebody suggested that the V's could be a hint towards vehicles being added to the game, so I say why not make the new enemy AI evil sentient vehicles like from Stephen King's story, "Trucks" (basis for the movie "Maximum Overdrive")?
I can see it now –•naked bald guy with his Smashing Rock™ wandering through the wilderness –•evil sentient 18-wheeler comes screaming over the hill out of Silk Valley and crushes him beneath giant wheels.

I think mutants are gonna replaced the zombies. I dunno about the v's. Maybe it has nothing to do with the new types of enemies like you guys said maybe it's just that vehicles are getting added to the game.

I think all the V's are for vaginas. Now hear me out. See any women running around in Rust? That's right you don't. They've imprisoned all the men for all of our shitty wars and ruining the world and they are the new rulers of the Earth. All the alpha men have been put on Rust Island as punishment and they have given us just enough to kill each other off with supply drops when the killing gets too slow.

Nah but it all seems rather cool, vehicles have been rumored around the horizon.. but so much needs to be fixed before this seems like a legit item to add... like a more complex crafting system ( as in parts needed for stuff etc etc ). Would like to see some real predators though that you actually need to be careful around.. like bears that actually catch you ( real life info, a brown bear can traverse at up to 60 km/h on flat hard surface ) and throw in a spear to be able to defend you? idk but time will tell.

They are replacing the zombies with the current character models so you can't tell the difference between human players and ai enemies, I like it. We are all Triple V!

I hope it's something creative that hasn't been done before (or done nearly as well)...surprise me. Don't give me something from an already tired genre or "borrow" an idea from some movie or another game.

i disagree with the suggestion that the V's are any indication of things to come, however as far as what to expect i think dino's would be cool but it would change the dynamics of the game entirely. i know, i know "it's alpha raaar, changes coming, *loud noises*, should have expected it blah blah" but this is a, somewhat, realistic survival game. You cant take out a mother effin Spinosauraus with a stone, bow, or even a single assault rifle. which means they would have to revamp the ability to gather resources to increase the production of more lethal weapons, and that would just lead to more PvP douche baggery. the same logic could be applied to Vamps and most other rumors floating around.

Well, with the new wolves being added, a lot of Redditors are thinking that it's all about a new werewolf mob that will be added in later, staying weak and harmless during the day, but a terrible ravager by night. I like this theory a lot, as it adds a bonus to going out during the day, and having to worry about PvP due to the fact that no one will be foraging at night now. But, if you take the chance of going out at night, there are fucking werewolves. So, yeah, really hoping it's a werewolf. There is another thread with pics as well.

I'm pretty sure the "All will be revvvealed" was from the song "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin. Here's the stanza:
To sit with elders of the gentle race,
this world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait,
all will be revealed
The multiple v's are how it actually sounds in the song when sung.
It's also loosely a bible verse which I'm sure influenced the lyric, "Everything hidden will be revealed, and everything secret will come out into the open."

At first I thought the v's were for vampires, but this would be so lame, I gotta make silver bullets now as well...
Then thought the v's were hidden w's for werewolf's , tho this has the same problem not to mention every night has to be a full moon night, cmon.
I'm getting Lost flashbacks of an initially great idea not knowing where to go and ending up being awful, just awful. Prove me wrong Gary, please.

Myself, I'd like to see them create a creature similar to the film "Pitch Black" Uses "Sound" to find its prey, can't go near the light (as it hurts it) Give people a reason to fear the dark and work together, at the same time making nighttime raids risky yet rewarding and you never know what the outcome may be.
That would definitely something I'd love.

The other day I was thinking about what the game would be like if they went the opposite direction. That is, made creatures who only came out in the light. Hundreds of games and movies have taught us to be afraid of the dark, but what about being afraid of the day?
You would have to venture out at night, torch in hand, to kill the monsters in their sleep in order to have a chance of gathering materials in the daylight unmolested.

Too many new players would be running about and if you spawned in the daytime, you'd be screwed for a new player. The fact you start off with a torch though could give you time to find a old shelter to lay low until day comes. Day time you can see the threat, nighttime you can't
