It's pretty clear that even though one hasn't select to "opt-in" for dev testing you can still see and connect to "dev" test/experimental servers. No update has been released yet.

i just hate for the fact those trolls insist i am in the dev branch while im not.
i just dont get it how this server would change to "experimental" or "dev" suddenly since its so slow to get updated..
i thought we where like kinda the last ones to recieve the updates

My point was, i thought Garry specifically said he "didn't just want to replace the zombies with an insert name here quick fix". Take a look about, you'll see he did in fact say something along those lines on a number of occasions.

To be fair Zombies had entire metal houses in their pockets. I get two metal stairs and a metal foundation from one zombie drop...in a backpack. How was that at all realistic?

That said, these mutant wolves look hella ugly...and not good ugly. Bad, bad, bad.

Something like this would be much better...but I'd prefer we just steer away from reskins and mutated versions of animals altogether.

The really hilarious part is...

They replaced zombies, which actually had at least a semi appropriate model and mechanics for a placeholder.

However, they replaced them with a (very half-assedly) reskinned version of current wolves with almost exactly similar A.I.

They actually replaced a placeholder with an even lousier placeholder. wat.


I mean wouldn't it actually be better to hold the fuck out before the replacements were actually even half thought out? It just seems they removed zombies for the sake of not being labeled a zombie survival game, and since they still have no concrete idea what to replace them with, just threw some bloody wolves at the wall to see if it sticks.

I actually doubt these will be part of the update in the current state.

btw, the patch is gettin rolled out for everyone, I KNEW IT!
im still on the official, and the server stayed the same, it states i got already the latest patch.
even after the file verification. looks like we had this patch early :o

Its amusing that you tell me i need to get my facts straight when i tell you you dont need to opt in for the dev branch, yet you agree with him when he says it. indecisive much?


also TDL, i wanna point out you said the "playrust" is 2-3 days off, yet it patched today and says the new info today..

Yea every patch i've seen so far has been announced almost immediately before or after it was made available for download. By immediately i mean within the hour or so.

no, you inisisted i was on the dev patch, while i know i arent, its physically impossible. while he said i somehow was on an experimental server, i have no clue what or how, but thats always possible i guess. nevertheless, now there are threads everywhere cause of the patch so its all good in the end i guess. ppl didnt believe me this was actually real. well it doesnt matter anyway i just wanted to point out something in the beginning, and say my idea about it.
