Every now and then I'd join a server and it would end up kicking me for a violation.
I don't know what that violation is and it's random servers. Last one I was on was completely empty.

Am I the only one, or is this a common problem?

It happens when you go through doors too quickly as they are closing. Allow a door to fully open, proceed through, then close it.

This is an option set in the server config files. enforce_truth=(false/true). Set to true by default. It kicks people for doing weird things. AKA teleporting, running fast, clipping through walls. The most common thing it can kick for is what the person above mentioned. Closing a door on yourself. It may think that you are clipping through the door and will kick you from the game. You wont get VAC banned for this its really just an annoyance especially if your base has lots of doors. Server owners can turn this off by setting enforce_truth=false in their config file.

Okay so what this is, is a setting that Rust++ offers. If they have enforce_truth = true then you will get kicked sometimes. I noticed this on my server and have turned it off. Usually with door/gates as mentioned above.

This is the description enforce_truth for reference:
"usually keep this set to true, kicks players doing weird things apparently!"

    Hope this helps

Oh, I was in split town going through the garage doors in that one area, that's what might've happened...
But what I don't get is I got kicked BEFORE I entered the doors...

You can get this error from opening doors too fast, trying to jump/fall off a rock, running out of a doorway putting your sleeping bag under a crate then trying to spawn inside of it (don't do this a friend tried it we had to break his crate he couldn't log into the server).

The game does it so people can't glitch, imagine if someone found a way to glitch into your house.

This just happened to me today in split town. When ever I jumped up to get on to the platform that had the garage doors with the 4 loot boxes inside and the propane tanks I would get Kicked for violation.

    That is exactly what happened.

It also happens if you lag for a couple of seconds.

It basically happens when the server registers you inside and object I think. Such as when you open doors and get stuck inside them, try to jump over something and get momentarily stuck in the object, etc.

Happens a lot to me too, especially if the server lags a bit and I end up running through an open door that still didn't register properly as open, I glitch a bit, and get kicked for violation. Guess the door is sensible, like that.

That has happened to me before. I double-walled myself inside a wooden shelter with a closed door, two barricades in front of the door and a storage box in the back with myself squeezed in the very back as well. I got DC'd/kicked repeatedly like after 30 seconds to a minute, probably because of my close proximity to the barricades and the fact I was slightly clipping through them. I had absolutely nothing and I built it in the middle of the road outside Large Radtown in hopes that someone would waste a lot of time for nothing.
