Not entirely sure what you're going on about.
I didn't see a server side command for it, and haven't really looked at server config yet, but generally server owners delegate permissions for their admins. Really no point in orientating a "server mode" around admin control.

Makes perfect sense, very good idea...
I gave up on private servers because the admins were "gifting" huge resources to their friends, and then had the gall to call them public "PvP" servers.
Having an "official/baseline" flag on a private server would be a huge attraction for me. The admins could still watch and kick cheaters, etc. but would have zero control over crafting, airdrops and other resource settings.

+1. Private servers are a no go unless there is a promise of no admin abuse (like the one I play on currently). It would be helpful to have a flag and enforcement though.

I'm a server owner myself and I think a plugin for Oxide that broadcasts to the server when a server admin uses any command would only be a good thing, take away any doubt people have about abusing admin powers.

I think it is pretty wise to say that if you don't want to take a chance on admin abuse then don't play on private servers. Server owners pay for the server and should be allowed to moderate their server in how they see fit. If you actually paid to play on that server then it would be a different story but you don't. You are at the mercy of whoever does at that point.
Don't like the server admin... don't play on it... simple enough.

Yes I run a server.
And yes I think the above statement is correct. But that doesn't mean I go around doing such things people complain that's all admins do.
I've never spawned an item for ANYONE including my self, Except for the one occurrence where after a SERVER WIPE I offered up 500 planks to everyone who returned to stay on the server (I now have mods in place for such things)
It all comes down to the Admin, You can call it abuse all you want, But in truth it is not. They are the one forking out the money for it, They can do as they please, spawn thousands of things or totally neglect the entire server.
Just take the time to test each server, Get to know the admin a little in chat if they are talkative use that magic comms device and ask people in the server what they think of it. If you don't like the answers move on, Theres only thousands of servers right?
And please DON'T just assume server admin abuse every time someone types it in game. There's been countless times I've had people accuse me of it simply because I have all the blueprints. I put 160 hours on rust in the first 2 weeks I had my own server, You really don't think I could have farmed all that shit MULTIPLE times?? It gets old fast.
The regulars on the server know what I'm like and what I do, more often then not, I don't even have to speak up any more. The regulars defend me, Some people just get butt hurt and there's nothing you can do about that.
I've totally lost track of what I was saying...
TL;DR
Investigate your servers and find one that's good for you instead of whinging about it here.

+1 buddy! I completely agree. Most of the time it's probably just fragile ego syndrome. Butt-hurt kids crying.
I'm not saying there isn't admin abuse out there, but it's not necessarily every time someone says so.

After a spree of corrupt admins I've found 1 that is basically admin free, free roam do whatever, they do check for hackers but don't do anything apart from answering help. Most fun I've had so far. I agree admins do get to do what they want as it is their money but do they wonder why nobody stays on their server when all they do is drop supply crates in front of their base and shoot everyone who goes near...

Ummm... Miss the point much?
The whole idea is that it would be optional, to attract people to your server, knowing that admin abuse won't be an issue.

Really tired of seeing people complain about private servers and their admins. The easiest and best solution for private severs with abusive admins is to avoid them. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to deal with these asshats. There are plenty (thousands) of official servers and well run private servers to join. Shut up and play the game.

Abusive admins are definitely the pitfall of most servers.
Raid or kill an admin? Clearly cheating.
The problem is you can't play on official servers because of hackers.

I do understand some server owners abuse the powers of being the owner. But not all do.
