Yes, Mon_ons. Faulty hardware will lead to corrupt memory. If that wasn't the case, there would be no need for tools like Memtest. Faulty hardware will cause the dll/exe to be loaded into memory incorrectly.

Take a look at this article (scroll down to "Your Computer is Broken"), where the devs of Guild Wars identify memory corruption in the Guild Wars process.

Here's an excerpt from the article:
faulty memory causing bans was already fixed in 2003

If you banned it is because you cheated?

No I got banned because I was linked to this on a forum: http://www.madabouthats.org/projects/cgshader

I used it to play a HL1 mod called The Specialists on a VAC protected role play server. Contacted support like 12 times and at the time there wasn't that big red warning that there is today.

:( also fun when I constantly get kicked from your rust community server because I must be a hacker based on a 10 year old ban...

Now tell us that VAC uses that weird memory stress test. Otherwise what you posted is irrelevant.

Hopefully this clears up some of the misinformation and/or confusion about Valve Anti-Cheat.
    Check your facts.

Your information is wrong.. The current iteration is VAC3 technically.. and there has been at least 3 instances of a -false- mass ban wave from the current iteration of VAC.

(1 you mentioned.. 1 from Dota 2.. and one relating to the Source Games)

    EDIT EDIT:
More nitpicky.. the message you zoom in on is not related to VAC.. it's a backdrop Garry put into the game and existed before VAC was even running on Rust.
