2. VAC is covering Original Games (Ex: CS) . Today Rust is test processing. In the futrue will become beta or closed beta
VAC banned us. We wont any reasons.
3. Rust alpha version need players pay for test. Well , rust need tester to find bugs and report , right?
Excause me, players find bugs and official active VAC and banned cheat player. I feel official lie us. Because
we pay and knocked.
4. Cheat software can be using in client. Its not player problems. Its rust software official problems. Because
Rust cant to fixed it, we always see bugs news in web. but we wish see fixed bugs news in web.

I kinda understand this guy. I mean it may lead into potential reversal on a couple of the bans. I mean realistically these hackers, script kiddies, etc whatever you want to call them are in fact finding the bugs, exploits and game breaking issues in an ALPHA. I am not sure if they will have a legal basis to pursue it beyond this point. This is what concerned me when the VAC bans started happening.

He's complaining about the fact that the game is in Alpha and therefore shouldn't be using VAC. He also believes that the ability to use hacks is Facepunch's problem, not the players, so if a hack works and you use it, why should you be banned?

In other words, he doesn't want to take responsibility for his actions and believes he doesn't deserve to be banned.

Funnily enough his logic is decent in some way. How do holes get fixed if you don't expose them? Thing is he's not the hack developer, he's just using a hack someone else developed to grief.

But it is quite the contrary. It is good VAC is up, it culls all the cheaters away before final release, it's the best decision they have made with the game. Plus you get entertained by their stupidity when I or one of the other junior detectives looks him up.

Lol this laptop isn't super duper powerful, I have it hooked up to an external monitor, I had to pick a decent distro that wasn't hard on specs. Also, I am brand new to Linux pretty much, I just thought I'd give it a shot on an old laptop (I have five laptops :o) This one's only got an 80 gig drive, so I don't think I'll run a second distro, but being a workstation laptop, it has a bay for an extra drive, maybe I'll get another 80 gig for Backtrack lol

You need to understand that you destroyed the experience for everyone else by cheating, and that makes you suck actual dick in everyone elses oppinion.

Doesnt matter if its alpha, you are shit as a person. You cannot compete with others in a fair way so you need cheats to get ahead. Youre a bad player, and a bad person, and nobody likes you. You should be content with not being able to play, since you proved you cannot play in a legit way and therefore needed to cheat. Now that you cant cheat you would only suck at the game anyways.

totally OT: with an old laptop i'd stay away from standard ubuntu - too heavy on graphics. Xubuntu or Crunchbang would probably server better. Still, whichever works in field of criminal investigations works.

No, it's a moderately decent laptop, it's got a Core 2 Duo and I think a 5 series GPU from Nvidia (Okay that is not so good but it certainly isn't something to scoff at!) I also have the RAM maxed out to 4 gigs. Also, I am not on that laptop right now, moved over to my main in my room. I like to switch things up :o

I don't disagree and I think BMRF pointed out the key issue with his logic, which is that they are simply using the hack for personal gain. This doesn't help anyone and, in most cases, probably hurts the image and community of Rust.

Keep up the good work, Jonny. I'm thoroughly enjoying watching them complain and then squirming when you expose them.

Give him some credit: this novel approach to appealing a VAC ban is far more interesting than the typical "omg i never cheated honest". If Facepunch will unban cheaters for having a few thousands Twitter followers, why not unban them for acknowledging their cheating but offering clever and creative defenses?

Because Facepunch doesn't unban, that's Valve's decision completely.

Yes, Rust is an alpha. However, Using that as an excuse for being VAC'd is laughable. Your the first person I've seen to use that excuse. Pat yourself on the back!

First of all, VAC has been around longer than rust. VAC isn't garry's design. It's valve's. It's used in all of their multiplayer games and it works because people like you think "OH HEY THIS WORKS GOOD" then BLAM. Second of all, You have an account on a forum dedicated for hacks.

Nothing you can post will prove that you didn't hack. VAC doesn't make mistakes. Valve will never unban you. Congrats on wasting your 15$ and perhaps more on hacks.
