    Meh...

    I wouldn't trust such system
There's never a way to make 100% sure that people won't abuse stuff
Even if your company owner / founder you should do / check specific stuff yourself because sometimes people might cheat or lie without your knowledge

Yeah I'm sure there will be ZERO false-positives in this list when 99% of this game consists of nerds who cry for days on end after they get wrecked by somebody who actually is able to aim.

As mentioned through the post, that will happen, even Valve some times can't get them 100% of the time and false positives can as well happen.

But this is a decent way of doing it if you take the time to even read how it works :)

1 Report will do nothing, not even 10 reports against a user, to avoid false positives it is recommended to filter reports with atleast a rating of 31 to 41, want real hackers? look for those with 71 or higher.

Tell me how people are going to fake a ban that 31, 41 or 71 different servers have rated as positive. The posibilities of that are very low.

    There's always a way

It wouldn't be nearly impossible to create secret pact with 40 other server owners to remove everyone who disobey them

All I see is that admins (who ban me because I'm simply too good for them) get to vote on my "rating"?

Lol, I would actually be surprised something like that happened at all. Doubt admins would even risk themselves to be added to our Abuse List, nothing in the website report-wise is permanent and as people can filter their ban lists as they see fitting they won't affect a user as much as they wished to.

Anyway, the community would not pass those cases unseen, as there is a list of who has rated a user, we can see their messages, everything is public.

Without mentioning the chances of that happening are less than 5%, if you're not an admin, don't worry you won't be using it :) and if you are, you're free to set the filter to whatever you want/need ^^

    Here:
Do not add a user that has not cheated
This system is not meant to ban players that have a different language nickname.

This system is not meant to ban players that missbehave.

This system is not meant to ban players that broke your server's rules.

This system is not meant to ban players that cause drama in your server.

This system is not meant to ban players that killed you.

This system is not meant to ban players that killed someone with a headshot.

This system is not meant to ban players that killed 10 players with 10 bullets.

This system is meant to ban players that use hacks and glitches to obtain advantage in the game.
We know it is some times hard to detect a hacker, we know it will take time to detect, we know Valve will get the rest of the hackers/cheaters that will survive this ban list, we know we can't provide an ultimate tool to ban hackers/cheaters, but what we can do is, discuss and decide as a community. Do it so!

I really like the idea, but as one who has been banned once or twice by "badmins", I'm concerned that players who are even more skilled and have been banned on several servers while streaming (like bchillz) are going to end up permabanned by a system such as this.

Granted those users are streaming so they'll be unbanned, but what about players who can't stream because their computer doesn't support it?

Don't worry, as I said earlier, a single report will do nothing. This is meant for those hackers that simply jump from server to server getting banned. Let's save them some work by simply applying a ban on many servers until valve blocks them off for good.

It's not all on the Admin's side, "badmins" should be pointed out, ofcourse with proofs of it happening, thanks to toprustservers.com we can see any positive/negative feedback, and since people tend to expose complains 99.9% of the time we will know due to community reports who is doing it wrong. And if it is a real backed up report, the admin will end up in our abuse list showing from their steam profile information to their server information so people can avoid that.

I by no means am interested on applying a ban hammer to any soul I find, hell, I'm not even an admin my self. Just created the system to have a better tool than a post on a forum where people that have no proofs at all just rant and point fingers like if it was nothing. Posting things like "<steam url here> aimbotting" and expecting someone to ban those? - I don't think so.

This is a place where both Admins and players can join to protect servers from obvious hackers. I know ESP is hard to detect and also know that aimbots are also hard to detect, I mean, I have seen people aiming to the head on livestreams and with 1-2 bullets their enemy falls. There are players that do this but once someone kills a raid of 10 people with a 9mm all headshots, you can start suspecting.

Anyway, it's not like we will be able to protect the servers 100% I understand that, probably a 50 or 60% of those obvious ones, but that's better than nothing.

These reports do require to provide proofs and investigation, anyone simply calling someone out with nothing to back their comment will simply be ignored. Too bad that to investigate, Rust makes it very hard to do as invisibility is not 100% working (floating name, foot steps, etc.) but that will be taken care off by facepunch sooner or later :)
