Last night we cleared out a MASSIVE base. It was tucked far back in a valley and we just don't run past it that often, but someone must have been grinding away all day every day to come up with this stuff. We encountered at least a dozen large wood storage boxes, with everything organized by type (one box filled with leather armor, one box filled with chicken breasts, one box filled with M4s, one box filled with M4 ammo, etc). Scarily, two boxes were filled with Explosive Charges. We have these removed from drops (craft only), so it takes a little while to stock up.

Short and sweet: we took what we needed. We emptied the rest, dropping everything on the floor so it despawned. We filled the boxes with raw chicken breast - one per slot.

I worked out a (not-obvious) weakness in a base of a fellow on my last server - I was very new and had next to nothing, so his cloth, sulphur, and other basic resources were very welcome. Instead of cleaning him out, I took each pile one by one, split it, and put half back. Came back a day later and he had way more stuff... Again, split in half and stock myself up. Did this three times over 3 days, hope I didn't mess with his head too much!

Other than that, I've created man-traps in my bases which are impossible to get out of without explosives (3 stories deep, middle-pillared, and plenty of spikes at the bottom), which then have an open window at the top to attract would-be raiders. Two caught so far that I know about (one was piiiiissed! :D) - no idea how many more were caught, killed and had their stuff despawn while I was logged off though. Look before you loot! ;)

There was this amazing house that someone was building in a server. He had a ton of stuff in storage boxes; he'd obviously been playing for quite a while. I believe he was moving in to another house, because the second floor was unfinished and the front door was nonexistent. So I was thinking this was too good an opportunity to pass up, so I used his materials to create a metal door, and fixed his front door problem...but since he can't open my doors, the house and all his possessions became mine.

I know that was kinda jerk-like, but at least I didn't kill anybody for their stuff. I just acted on their stupidity :)

My most heinous act to date? A forced eviction from my front lawn.
Some new player was wandering around outside of my 4x4, 5 story tall wooden base. I asked if he needed anything and directed him to the large storage crate on my porch where I routinely placed extra armor items and food that I didn't need. He helped himself and thanked me, then proceeded to build 2 shit-shacks right outside of my front door. After conferring with a friend we decided that I would lure him away to hunt zombies while he destroyed the shelters, and the rest of the crap built on my front lawn.

While we were out hunting, my friend destroyed his sleeping bag and shelters, then I staged an "accident". I had a zombie chase me around the corner to where i knew the new player was standing, shouted "Look out!" over the mic, spun and blasted them both to smithereens with my shotty just as my fiend came over world chat talking about someone raiding my home. >;)

After he managed to find his way back, my friend and I escorted him to a nice secluded spot away from my base and gave him enough wood to build himself a 1x2 house. He never figured out that he had been hoodwinked and relocated after being "accidentally" killed in a hunting accident.

Not terribly mean, I suppose but its the meanest thing I've done so far... saw a player kill a fresh spawn in a shack before I had a chance to defend him, so I warned the guy off by shooting him. He runs away and his buddy comes running from their base dressed in kevlar with an M4. I stand there calm as you please and plink, plink, plink away while he takes wild shots. Eventually he takes too much damage (having only hit me once) and runs back to his base to heal. I continue standing guard over the newbie's loot but when it becomes apparent that he's not coming back I move into the hills near their base, taking pot shots at them every time they leave the base until they both make a dead run for the opposite mountain range.

This is a story of human perseverance:

Joined a low pop server that had mass airdrops because I wanted to see what it was all about. It was myself and about four others on the server.

Airdrop comes in right next to me so I get there first and go to loot it. All of a sudden, I get gunned down ny four guys in full Kevlar and M4s. Turns out they were the ONLY other people on the server. I asked if they really needed to kill a new spawn for that airdrop considering they were already armed to the teeth. They have me the typical "too bad" and "I had sex with your mom" responses I was expecting, so I ignored it and moved on.

These guys apparently had taken over the server and driven everyone else out, so when a few other players joined, this group messed with them as well. One guy wanted to know where their base was, which happened to be be right over the mountain from mine, so I told him. The one guy was obviously no match for them, so after they dispatched him, they came to my home for revealing their location. I asked them if it was really necessary to mess with me since I hadn't ever messed with them and posed no real threat. Nothing but more mom jokes followed and they proceeded to destroy everything. And I mean everything. Took everything that I had so I was basically a new spawn. Luckily I had stored a sleeping bag in the nearby rocks, so I could at least stay in the same area. I grabbed my rock and started to rebuild what was left of my home, which was now mostly just foundations and pillars.

I asked them if that made them feel good ruining other people's experience and they confirmed that it did. I vowed I would not leave the server until I had my revenge and they laughed at the idea. I told them they had to sleep sometime and they attempted to scare me off by telling me they had the next few days off of work and would be online all day for the next three days, but I didn't waiver.

Over the course of the next 15 hours, unbeknownst to them, I had found a flaw in the design of their seemingly impenetrable base: there was one wall protected by large spikes that you could reach if you jumped from a rock and broke your legs. And that is where my plan took place. I would wait until an airdrop would fall, knowing they would abandon their base when it did. Over those 15 hours I slowly crafted C4 to blow up the walls leading into their base and replaced them with wood doors, which, to a group of people living in a massive wooden fortress with little fear of anything happening to them, is easy to miss.

I eventually ended up right outside their vault, which, lucky for me, was also their bedroom. I waited until all four of them were asleep in the room and blew open the last wall. The feeling that came over me as I stood over their sleeping bodies, hatchet in hand, was indescribable. I hacked away at them and destroyed their sleeping bags. I took everything out of their massive loot chests: fully modded M4s, full Kevlar sets, C4; you name it, they had it. And mostly several massive 250 stacks of each as well. I took all the high value stuff and hid them in random chests up in the mountains and discarded everything else.

Their reaction the next day was priceless. They were devastated that one man had outplayed all of them and their sense of security was gone. They assured me that they had now covered up their case's weakness, but when I claimed I could still get in, it had them trembling in fear and asking for a truce.

Needless to say, justice was served that day.

I love you, come be gay with me and let's have gaybies together. Because that's the best thing I've ever heard.

Now if only you could have gone a step farther and used their ingredients to blow up their doors and take their base for yourself... something to think about if the truce ever goes sour

That's the first thing I thought about when I got in. Unfortunately, even though they had tons of everything else, they didn't have a whole lot of C4. At least not enough to take over the base.

And the truce didn't last long. After I robbed them they wanted metal scraps to craft an all metal forests, but despite our truce, they expected me to completely trust them while they didn't have to trust me. Examples: They'd show up to trades with full weapons and armor while I'd show up naked. Or they would try to take my stuff while I wait outside so they can go get everything to trade with me.

I ended up joining a new server almost immediately after the heist, but I logged in later just to check in on my old "buddies." They were horrified to see "Dick Buttermuffin has joined the server" pop up. I then went to their house and had a firefight. Even managed to kill one of them I think despite it being 1v4. I then gave them back any of the gear I had stolen from them back (because hey, I'm a nice guy) before leaving the server forever.

But the point was never to just take everything for the sake of it. The point was to make them play on that server in constant fear of my return; never knowing when they might log back in as a naked man in a field somewhere. And I definitely succeeded in that.

I found a pickaxe in a rad zone and saw a guy running away from the rad zone after looting some houses
I ran after him for about half an hour and managed to hit him 1 time
In voice chat I always said "you cannot run" "accept your fate" "you will die" "I will eat you soul" in a creepy voice
He ran to some random naked guys and asked for help and I killed them but he was still alive
After half an hour he led me to his friend who shot at me with a bow
I killed him and my actual target afterwards
I had a lot of luck but after all this trouble everything was mine :-)

    1. Put a gateway with a gate on the lower middle floor.
    2. Place 2 large wooden storages, full of crap, in the open lower floor.
    3. Light a fire inside.
    4. Camp upstairs, when you hear movement on wooden floors downstairs, close the gate from upstairs. (you see the gate through the window)
    5. ........
    6. Laugh your ass off, bow the guy down from the stairwell (put a window in there to see into your 1x2 killroom.)

Ive done this for a few days now, its funny as all hell. The ammount of begging from people youve locked inside is incredible.

EDIT: Yes it looks like crap in the chat, although with some imagination you should be able to tell whats what.
