The server admin cannot VAC ban you.

Only Valve can VAC ban you.

Nobody on FP can unban you from VAC.

Admins do not VAC ban, that is all controlled by Valve.
If you have been banned from the server then I suggest just finding another server.
If you have been VAC banned then..... good luck.
You can try to win an appeal through Valve but you'd better have some solid evidence to prove that you were not cheating.

No, sorry. If you have been VAC banned then Valve is the only place that can help.
VAC bans are serious stuff... people don't get VAC'd willy-nilly. If you have been banned then you cheated at some point, somehow, although false-positives can happen they are rather rare.

If you were incorrectly banned due to Valve making a mistake and causing false positives, you will be unbanned when Valve corrects their mistake.

Otherwise, you are VAC banned from Rust on this account forever.

    There is no appeal.

VAC bans last a year, and are only permanent if you have multiple bans on record. Should probably look at it a bit more before you render an assurance that he's banned permanently.

All VAC bans are permanent - Valve has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating and will not lift VAC bans under any circumstances.

    Uhhh lol

Valve started coding on a 'long-term solution' for cheating in 2001.[7] VAC was first released with Counter-Strike 1.4 in 2002, during its initial release, it only banned players for 24 hours.[8] The duration of the ban was increased over time, players were banned for 1 year and 5 years, until 2005 when any new bans became permanent.[9] The initial version, VAC1, saw success for a period, but in March or April 2004 updates ran dry as the Valve engineers maintaining it moved on to the production of its successor, VAC2.

Elix you can "uhhh lol" me all you want, although I was in the midst of a CSGO competitive match when someone was vac banned and it was for the period of a year. Look at people who play CS/CSGO. Their multiple bans prove it only lasts for a year if it's the same account. "vac bans on record:" Thank you come again.

Gee, that anecdotal evidence sure beats my properly-cited argument. Boy, I'm such a loser.

The odds of someone having the same alias as you are pretty decent which you have proven. The odds of someone having the same alias as you associated with a hacker website after you've been vac banned i'm betting are much lower

I don't understand how that is proof? I am kind of mad that you just framed me like that.. It upsets me how you just googled my name, coolmanyou1. Looked for hacking website and said that was me because that guy has the same username. I don't find that fair, it's like me googling AngelWarrior on a steam appeal and finding his name on 3 different hacking websites and saying that is him when it could not be?
All I can say is that is not me on that site, I can proof that also. All the way down to my location and Ip.

Well, prove us wrong, show us your steam profile. Assuming you have only a single VAC, then that would have to be wrong, since there should be two at least (one for Rust, one for ArmA 2) is that correct?

Right, cool. Does that say the VAC ban is 1 year? Because I'm fairly sure that's telling you their matchmaking ban is for a year. The two systems are only tied in that matchmaking requires a VAC clear account.

Please, research how VAC works before commenting on it. It's a pretty complex system internally, but Valve dumbed the descriptions down enough for a 10 year old to understand them.

You clearly don't know how it works either.

EDIT: as for it being only matchmaking: no. It bans you from CSGO entirely for a year along with other valve products. But you already knew that... didn't you? Oh wait, that's right... you didn't.

Alright so then I suppose we can rule out that it's you on that hack site...
But still, VAC is pretty airtight, afaik. If you were, in-fact, wrongfully banned, then the ban will be lifted eventually.

He knows a lot more about it than you certainly seem to. For one, he's apparently actually read something about it, which you seem to be unable to. There's been two links to separate sources telling you that you're wrong, and that VAC bans are permanent yet you refuse to accept either one despite one of them even being from Valve's support website.
