Hi guys, im just wondering if you guys has had this much issues as ive got with these guys

    1. We have spikes and lagg all the time,so when they come we have to reboot the server to fix it, which happens to be as often as up to 1-3 times a day.
    2. We're being disconnected without reason(not that often but daily)
    3. Rubber banding we got ALL day!
    4. The ping was stable at 60~ when we bought the server, now its 170?
    5. Today all our newly installed plugins was removed because of a server rollback without any form of notification, rcon password rolled back as well as the whole server.
    6. Now we cannot install our mods anymore because they've suddenly been removed?
    7. Our permissions has been revoked through FTP, which makes us unable to do ANY changes to our game data directory. Which then again makes us unable to install any form of modifications ourselves.

Thanks for all the information that youre giving your customers HFB we appreciate it.

I got two words about this provider... STAY AWAY!

I received an email from HFB. Not sure what you're referring to about no notification.

I completely understand the need to remove mods from servers when they're an obvious vulnerability to the infrastructure in their current state.

Recieved this email from them 7 hours ago.

We are writing this email to all current Rust clients to inform them of changes in their product. Yesterday, Rust++ was released to the control panel under our Mod options but had to be later removed. This mod was removed due to intermittent issues with some servers that were causing crashes and not allowing the server to start. We are currently working with the developer to bring this back to the control panel, however we will be doing extensive testing to prevent any further issues.

Oxide mod has also been removed by disabling the ability to install the mod in the Game Panel along with deleting the mod from all of our servers. During the course of removal of these files we also were made aware of an exploit with the Leather mod.

In order to accomplish this removal and patching of the Leather exploit on all servers as quickly as possible it was necessary to run an emergency maintenance period which caused the Game Panel to become inaccessible for a period of time.

FTP and Game Panel file manager access has also been disabled temporarily to prevent this exploit. We are currently working to restore FTP and file manager access for all clients to give them access to their needed files.

Oxide was removed due to its source code being leaked from their servers, contrary to their agreement.

The email was sent after the fact. And it was sent to everyone they've ever mailed, not just server owners.

I've never in my life used a worse provider than this. We will change as soon as this runs out because this is FUCKING ridiculous, its like buying a tampon that has been used and abused by over 100 people before you but the people at the cash register tells you they are completely fine and works just as they should.

We're pretty happy with Multiplay. We didn't experience all the issues you have, but Multiplay has had more uptime and is only a few bucks more expensive. Performance is about the same for us (neither has been bad).

I have not had any of the issues you mentioned using HFB. I reboot once a day for good measure. No lagging, rubber banding or disconnects. Installing any mod on a game could add vulnerabilities, especially the fact the vanilla game is vulnerable already. Also, I received the notice, and will not be installing mods until both the alpha and mods are secure.

Along with removal of mods and FTP, what the hell am I paying for?

I never received an email either. It wasn't until I checked on here last night that I found out about the issue as to why they took my server offline.

They still have not replied to my support ticket either. I'll be looking into Multiplay to see what kind of rates they offer.

Don't know if they do or not. but funny enough their 24-7 live chat support is offline at the moment.

On a separate note their prices are not at all bad.

    Very tempting...

    *Edit*

Digging in to the FTP question it appears that they do allow FTP transfers, well at least for Minecraft servers. So I'd wager they allow it for others as well.

I would recommend Multiplay, I used them for over 6 months on my Minecraft server, they have the best control panel. There's some negative things though. Live support is generally offline because of ticket backlog, they offer no Mod/FTP Support for Rust(They do for most games) and ticket response time at the moment is generally between 10-24 hours.

Has multiplay changed to allow ftp access?
Multiplay doesn't offer FTP Support for Rust Servers, there is no ETA for when they will. Mods will be arriving this week.

Multiplay offers live support when they don't have a backlog of tickets waiting. They also don't offer FTP/Mod Support yet, that will be coming.

Never had any issues with HFB, always had full access to all files (except now when they're fixing the issues with Oxide) and the server has always been stable.
People are just freaking out and creating drama because bugged mods for a alpha game with absolutely no mod support are bugged.

One word for you OxO1: "ALPHA!"

All GSPs are dealing with your issues and issues of their own. We use HFB and have no complaints. Expect more of these problems from any GSP.
